second pair and villain donks 1bb

Those 1bb bets are always so funny
Pf you can cold call as well but I like the 3bet line.
Flop I'd play the same, if villain did not do that 1bb crap I'd xbh. We have showdown value and we don't want to get x/r there.
Turn I think your bet is extremely big, you got a very good card and you should bet for value there but not with a size that automatically will put the villain away. You put the villain on a tighter range than actually is, he's playing 75/25 so I believe that he'll have much more pocket pairs on his range for example, maybe all of them, and you want those hands to continue. Hands like 66-TT. I'd bet half pot max.

He has bet 1BB into 18.
So far it is players trying to "test the water" with a tiny bet.
I've seen players do it with the nuts, and also with air.

Why not see how much he likes his hand?
Raise him with 4 or 5 BB -- that is still only 1/3 the original pot OTF

If he jams, you can let go if you choose.

One piece of advice I heard from a streamer:

Treat a 1BB bet the same as you would treat a check

Seems like a good spot to go for a check back if villain doesn't donk.

I would raise OTF with any made hand.
Agree with Reds, check back flop when he checks to you.

That's normally how I treat these bets, but i'm not a streamer... nor wise
From my experience, the donker often folds to a raise. Just c-bet considering pot has 1bb more or check back (by calling 1bb).

I usually interpret the min-bets on flop as villain is trying to somehow block a c-bet, inducing us to only call... who knows, right

Considering you have 2nd pair, I'd also check back OTF

Yes, I've seen the same thing. When they donk with 1 bb and have nuts, then they usually raise shove the raise or open shove the turn.
