Hi guys. Don't have stats on the players but definitely not solid ones. On the flop maybe it is better to raise right there, at least 1 of them should have an A. On the turn......Why the f.... am i checking? Who knows.. maybe it is ok :| On the river CO bets half pot. So considering the preflop, AA, KK, AK out of the equation. 77 are possible hand that beats me, but still not very likely. Straight is possible too, but for half pot i don't believe it. The question remains what is he calling that raise with? Not too many things i can think of, so maybe that is a bad raise there. He makes it 3$, who cares, i am deep in that shit already:f_biggrin: Classical me, not knowing what he is doing  Good think i get lucky some times:coolface:

Hello,

Pf ok.
Flop ok but I'd raise. You need to have a raise range on those spots and your hand seems very good to be included on it.
Turn very very bad check imo, since you give both villains the opportunity to complete free equity. I'd bet at least half pot there.
River as played your raise was ok I guess, ou don't represent too much with your line, it looks like a bluff and you will get called a lot I believe. When you get reraised things get more complicated, it looks like CO as a strong value hand. The max you're beating are Ax hands.
Curious to see the showdown.

Cheers.

OTF I believe that calling is the best option, since you want weak aces to stay on the hand and there are almost no draws available

Turn is mostly a blank, I'd definetly bet here, in position, it wont change much villains intentions of calling or folding..

As played, river is tricky. We've only had 1 street of value and our hand is kinda underrepped, so raising is fine.. not much to do against the 3-bet, I'd call also.

Personally, I'd choose betting on the turn and just calling on the river if he led.

As the other posters have said preflop and flop are ok but you should bet the turn.

Is it really necessary to have a raise range here?

It's not necessary, but you should have it. Will you never raise on the flop? If not there's a missing spot on your game.
It's not essential, but it's important I believe.

I understand where Torcato is coming from, balancing ranges are a important part of poker in general.
But I also don't believe that in the micros we need to be so balanced at all. The goal in our plays is to maximize profit or minimize losses in every play. Personally, i really wouldn't raise almost any hand on this flop I guess. I'd lean towards raising with sets or two pair maybe on the turn, to deny equity of flush draws... but thats it. Against decent oposition this can be exploitable I guess... But why is it necessary on the micros against mostly weak players?

Thanks!

I mean on that exact flop. Not sure what you mean. I would totally raise if the flop was a bit different. Or lets say you are HU, IP on a dry flop, is it really necessary to have a raise in that spot, can't you just have a calling range which includes all your sets, two pairs etc.?? Thanks:f_drink:

It is NOT necessary to have a raising range in ANY spot.

You don’t even need to worry about your actual range, it’s not important. What’s important is whether you can make any money off the hand that you actually hold. You don’t need to worry about all the hands you could have held.

GTO based players need to calculate an actual range at all times but this massively over complicates their thought-process. With so much to think about the GTO players struggle to consider the higher level exploitative theory so miss out on loads of money.

You only need to consider your actual hand and so saying you need to have raises in your actual range is ludicrous.

Your going to be raising quite often on A47 type two tone flops with various hands including your sets so you probably don't need to raise the rainbow flops all that often. If the flop was say AT9 id be much more inclined to raise bottom set as it's hitting a lot more of mp and co range .And i don't want to give free cards in that spot but with the flop being relatively dry the advantage of flatting here.Is you let mp fire again and you give the co another chance to commit more chips so i like the call here on the flop.

:spade: biel1996 - I think it's necessary because we create habits this way, if we play in a certain way at the micros, it will be difficult to forgot those habits when moving up and facing better opposition.

:spade: VladikataBG - I understand you, and it's ok not to raise. But I prefer to have raising ranges in almost every spot since I believe the're worth to have.

I understand why you just called the flop you wanted to keep all villains weak ranges in the hand but on the turn I think you needed to bet, you have a premium hand which is good for multiple streets of value.Your facing multiple opponents and the turn card brings spade draws, straight draws and competed straights, you need to bet this turn for value, protection and information. Did the CO really have 65?
