Yeah you do that. Zoom has its advantages as well of course. It has instant action all the time, you dont have to table select and you can get bigger volume. So go ahead and figure out what fits you the best. I also consider adding one zoom table to my regular tables to increase volume in the future

Just checking in. So far doing well on NL5 with +11BIs but the crush is not so big as at NL2 The fishes finally started to get their draws and stuff more than before. I have had some tough time winning some of my top range all ins and bigger pots. Not gonna complain obv because some other all ins where I wasnt such a favorite hold on so my results are positive. Just saying that when I start to win more pots where I am 90%+ favorite, I should be at NL10 quickly

Btw. got quads today twice. Even got them paid off a little. Still waiting for straight flush and royal though

One more positive thing. I have realized that I dont care about short term results too much. I have played last like 4 days without checking my cashier and didnt even feel the urge to check it. Thats good because I wasnt able to do that in the past.

Today had a nice session of +4BI but Pokerstars is broken so just had to quit. (cant open new tables). Those fish just give money away though

Anyway I have finally made it to silver. I have discovered great study materials by W34z3l (Walkthrough series) and double2 (10 tips to get out of the micros). That is like 15 hours of complex videos about basically everything you need to beat NL2-NL25 and get a solid foundation for the stakes beyond. Very excited for that

Getting really close to NL10 but I am not gonna shoot it until I really have those 20BIs. I am at 19BIs now. It is really tempting to try the next limit but I want to stick to my plan. Today I had two interesting hands.

Thanks man. It is getting further now so I will have to be patient. But there is no rush. I have been dealing with some bad variance stuff in the last few thousand hands, like those AA hands above or things that are not visible on the EV line but they are still just short term bad luck such as KK vs AA or QQ vs AA.

Thanks for the concern but I have no intention to bust on NL10. I plan to shoot it with 20 BI with a 3-4 BIs stop loss. So if I lose 4 BIs on NL10, I will just go back to NL5. 20BIs shots are a little bit more aggressive than what PSGY suggests but I think that when I once was there and beat it quite well I dont want to wait longer than necessary.

Uf, I think its finally here. I have been in a downswing for the last couple of thousands of hands. Nothing unexpected, we all get it sooner or later. I am just glad it hit me before I went to NL10. How do I know it is a swing and not just bad play? Well I have lost like 10 stacks on pure badbeats and coolers. So many improbable situations have been happening way too often. Like KK to AA twice in a row. AK vs AA, QQ vs AA in blind vs blind situation, those 3 AA hands above and many more. And so many bad runouts its is not even possible I know about like one stack altogether which I spewed in two hands where I overplayed my hand. I could have saved that definitely. I have also realized that if I had been on the more pleasant side of variance I could have been like very deep in NL10 by now. So I just hope to play to my abilities, not bust and it will turn around soon!

So rigt now I am -6 BI. That is nothing so far. It is just a friendly reminder of how poker actually works. So my plan for the next days is:

Focus on my gameplay and believe in my gameplay. When these things start to happen I tend to question my abilities and start to play differently. More nitty actually.
Take it easy. I dont need the money, I am not dependant on it. So whats the big deal.
Do not bust!

The reason why 99% of people won't make it in poker is not the lack of skill but the lack of mental toughness.

You seem to have both skill and work ethic so I'm not afraid of you ♠_thumbsup:. Free your mind and keep grinding like nothing happened. Those few coolers can't stop you!

This is so true. You might be able to beat your limit or even higher limits but if you are not able to deal with variance you are just doomed to fail.

I get the point, but most of them also lack the skill. Most of them, in fact.

So I havent had much time in the last few days to play poker. We are pitching a new client at work so I have been very busy in the last few days. Basically working from sunrise to sunset every day very intensively. I would get a few free hours in the evening but I just dont have the mental capacity to focus on poker anymore. I am glad to open Netflix and just chill. But no problem, I have been quite active in poker in the last over a month so I can take a break for a few days. No harm done, maybe even on the contrary.

I dont even know what my bankroll is now. In the last like 4 sessions I had played before the pitch I didnt check my cashier or the results of the sessions. And it has been like 3 days since my last session so I have now idea. And I will keep it that way. Tomorrow and over the weekend I should be able to put in some volume and after that I will check my bankroll. It is actually quite freeing not knowing your balance.

Don't regret you haven't had a time to play, the lagging was nerve-wracking so it would be basically impossible to play anyway, bu I have good news for you. Since yesterday's server restart, the gameplay has been pretty smooth for me (knock knock) so I hope your experience is gonna be similar.

So I am finally behind the tables and the game has welcomed me with all the honors

I did not hold on because my last session turned out very well in the end (+4BI) so I wanted to see if I am at NL10 already....aaaand, not yet So gotta wait some more time. I have been break even for the last 7k hands. Actually losing without the last +4BI today. I took a look at the causes why is that. Well, I dont run as well, most of my stacks lost were badbeats and suckouts and coolers and blah blah blah.

But there is one thing I got surprised about.

AA
Aces are supposed to be the most profitable hand, right?

So what is the take out? There is none. It happens all the time. Does it bother me? No it does not. It actually fills me with little optimism that maybe it is more or less just bad variance and it might turn around. Cheers

I was like 20bb away from NL10. And then AA came of course. Seems overplayed but he was getting very agro postlfop with nothing.

NL25 - first shot with BR of 625$ (for NL25 I plan to use the classic 25 BI safer bankroll)

It took me 19 511 hands with a 9,6 bb/100. Not bad but definitely could have been better. Today I finally bought HM3 and I should have done it a long time ago. It is so much more user friendly and professional than H2N. Also Pokerstars seems to be working very well. I havent had lags for the last few days even in the rush hours so thats awesome.

My poker plans for the nearest future:

Shoot NL10 with a 4BI loss. So if I drop my roll to 160$ I will go back to NL5. Doesnt matter if I am gonna spew it or variance is gonna take it. I just want to be disciplined.
Finally start with analyzing my game. I have the perfect tool for it now and also large enough sample to find a lot of spots. These are the main areas I want to take a look at:

Memorize my ranges. I have them in power point so I can take a look at them at any time but I feel like I should have been more familiar with them by now. Especially 3bet or cold call.
Go through Weazels Walkthrough series again. I consider this to be one of the best if not the best material for micros here at PSGY so I wanna use it to its fullest.
