hi,

I am well aware that I have to get it in vs a fish most of the time pre here. I thought I may outplay him post and this is why I am thinking if I may call the river.

Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

BTN: 1,702 (8.5 bb)
Hero (SB): 2,430 (12.2 bb)
BB: 4,868 (24.3 bb)

3 players post ante of 25, Hero posts SB 100, BB posts 200

Pre Flop: (pot: 375) Hero has Q♣: 3♣:
fold, Hero calls 100, BB checks

Flop: (475, 2 players) 8♦: 8♥: 3♠:
Hero bets 212, BB calls 212

Turn: (899, 2 players) 5♠:
Hero checks, BB checks

River: (899, 2 players) K♥:
Hero checks, BB bets 449, Hero folds

Spoiler

Results: 899 pot (0 rake)
Final Board: 8♦: 8♥: 3♠: 5♠: K♥:

BB wins 899

preflop I don't know tbh

postflop you can consider either smaller, or bigger sizing otf

and ott it is a cbet once again

What are the reasons, please, including river plan when called

reason is, that his flop calling range contains lots of overs

so you want him to fold airy floats and x/fold river, right?

do you think you will get double stabed with that air too often not to go x/c ott?

Pretty sure we can double on this board and still get called by worse in order for him to clear MDF.

Pretty thin to be betting two street imo. Villain doesn't have much of A high or even strong K high so we are aiming mainly versus weaker 3x which doesn't necessarily call anyway.

It is bubble where SB limping range should be pretty polarized as middle stack limping range should have decent amount of big pockets and some hands that are not strong enough or marginal to open shove. Some of those are going to be 8x but yeah there can be some 76o type also.

I don't mind line hero took here. Postflop depends of villain but I would say it's more likely on average for BB to bluff stab turn than river. Also K on river is bit nasty as K high can be decent portion of range to play like this.

So we are only going to bet 8x on the turn? If expect him to not call 3x we wouldn't bet any overpairs we would have limped, right? Especially if we block A3, K3 or Q3 which would be the best 3x he would have.

Well I would mainly check turn (even whole range) as it's thin to go for three street without 8x+ anyway. That way if villain was floating we will give him chance for it. Also have to remember that we are oop so if we bet turn and get called it's not our decision if river goes checked.

Nope, I like to check letting him stab his floats.

I´d bet 5x, some GS/oesd type hands. 3x 8x PPs and total air check
