Oh wow. That is a nice looking graph man. One day I will become a winning player at NL5.
Thank you guys for your kind words
I really appreciate it!
Sooooooo,
this week I managed to put on some decent volume and played 32k hands. I was running pretty good so I decided to take a shot at NL50 with $100 stop loss -> it didn't go very well as I lost $130 and about twice as much in terms of EV winnings so I quickly returned to NL25 but instead of stabilising my green line, I experienced my biggest downswing so far. I can't describe what was happening with me but basically every tough/marginal decision I had to make, I made wrong. I wasn't tilting, I wasn't trying to "win it all back ASAP", I just played BAD and ran into plenty of "cooler" spots because of that. I was "falling down" like that for two days...but you know what? I kept calm and after a couple of thousands of hands, everything got back to normal and I was crushing it again
My NL25 stats so far:
20k hands
7,31 bb/100 EV winrate
5,87 bb/100 rake
As I was feeling pretty comfident, I started to slowly mix NL25 with NL50 again. I have to say that NL50 is pretty tough and I was having troubles with adjusting my strategy for it. Here are some of my notes for you to gain an insight into how is it like there:
- if you don't have a strong 3bet/4bet pots strategy, you're getting absolutely smashed
- I was prepared for hyperaggro regs, I got the exact opposite - > people are checking everything, that's definitely what's causing me the most problems...my "strong" bluffing game just doesn't work anymore and I'm getting smoked by those check/calls and check/raises
- people play much less straight-forwardly and slowplay everything (including multiway pots)
- there are still tons of limpers and recreationals in general
Anyway, I managed to somehow acclimatise there and played 20k hands with EV winrate of 4,55 bb/100 (OT: I found out that HM3 doesn't show you EV winnings in pots where there is a side pot. I've lost a huge multiway pot where villain1 (shortstack) went all-in on the flop and me + villain2 got all-in on the turn. I had 80% equity when going all-in but HM3 shows $0 EV winnings. If this hand was included in my EV winnings, my EV winrate would actually be slightly above 5,5 bb/100, heh). I feel pretty happy about how I'm doing so far, especially when I know that I have PLENTY of room for improvement.
Hope you guys are doing well and I wish you good luck as always
See ya!
Oh, I almost forgot to post my graph ♠_biggrin:
