Could you advice me Mental game of Poker 2?

Mental game of poker 2 is not really about tilt, we kinda pitch it as the book to read when your tilt issues are gone. It's about focus, mental endurance etc.

If the advice in mental game of poker isnt helping much then the best thing you can do is more study on the actual game of poker, the math, variance etc. One way to not tilt is when you understand the math of downswings etc.

Hi Barry,

What big tactical changes do you make between playing a freezout MTT (like the Freelancer) and a PKO?

Ha, the freelancer no difference, I play like a loon in both.

In a regular MTT freezeout I like to register late, which is the last thing you should do in a PKO. The broadest difference then is to play super loose early on and in the middle stages of a PKO.

The whole book is framed in a 'this is what you should do in a regular MTT, this is what you should instead do in a PKO' way

Do you think the guidance in the book would be applicable to hyper hyper turbo jackpot formats? I.e. PokerStars Grand Tour.

Yep 100%, I've played plenty of Grand Tour and also the 18-man hyper KO sngs on Stars

Tricky element with the fact you dont know how much the bounty will be in Grand Tour, but you have a rough idea what the average bounty value is

Hi Barry,
Thanks a lot, that's a nice idea!

I have an unrelated question, do you think the current coronavirus crysis will help online poker to come back to its 2000s glory in the long term?

I hope so but I think we have seen the peak of it for now. As lockdowns started to ease, online poker traffic has gone back to normal levels. I dont think the recent craze of massive $100m MTT series is sustainable.

Hi Barry, would you rather fight one horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses?

Hello Barry. I'm sure coming from you is a master thing. I read one of your books in partnership with Jared Tendler in The Mental Game of Poker. Sensational!!!
Good by coincidence or not these are the tournaments I have been playing for two months now. I hope to be fortunate in completing one of the copies of this work.
Is there a possibility of becoming an expert in this modality, is something said about this book?
Thankful!!

Gleiidsn.

Should you start of a tournament open and passive or tight and aggressive?
