I`m not sure how exactly I should have played the hand. The villain is reg with only 5 % 3 bet.

iPoker - €0.50 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players

BB: €50.44 (100.9 bb)
UTG: €52.68 (105.4 bb)
CO: €238.78 (477.6 bb)
BTN: €77.08 (154.2 bb)
Hero (SB): €96.88 (193.8 bb)

Hero posts SB €0.25, BB posts €0.50

Pre Flop: (pot: €0.75) Hero has J♣: J♥:
3 folds, Hero raises to €1.50, BB raises to €4.50, Hero calls €3.00

Flop: (€9.00, 2 players) 9♠: 9♣: 5♥:
Hero checks, BB bets €2.97, Hero calls €2.97

Turn: (€14.94, 2 players) 2♥:
Hero checks, BB bets €9.86, Hero calls €9.86

River: (€34.66, 2 players) A♠:
Hero checks, BB bets €33.11, Hero folds

Hi, could 4bet preflop, although villain may have a 5% 3bet overall, it's probably slightly wider BB vs SB. May be able to fold out AQ, AJ with a 4bet or any suited connectors that some people like to 3bet. If villain If we get shoved on then it's fold though.

As played, I think you played the hand well postflop. It's quite tempting to raise OTF against the small sizing to protect our hand against overcards, but fold to a 3bet. The problem with the x/r is that if villain calls, we are in a tough spot on the turn and river potentially as we are not doing very well against villain's calling range.

OTT, if we knew villain was super tight then could make a tight fold, but calling seems to be ok and hope we see a showdown. OTR a clear fold, if villain was bluffing on the flop and turn then they probably hit, so well played. By the way, I'm not an expert, I've played up to NL25, but just like to go through the way I think about this. I'm sure someone has a better thought process :f_drink:

Big disclaimer: I am just an NL2 player, so this is mainly for my learning progress 😄

You are either way ahead or way behind here.
If you raise the flop you loose the bluff catcher. I think it is better to raise the flop with (semi-) bluffs, e.g. weak draws etc.
I think the hand is good enough to call 2barrels. Especially against a tight player and with the Ace that hits villains range, the river is a fold.
Not sure what I would do if the river was a blank. That would be really tough. You only beat bluffs and TT.

Calling JJ IP here is ok. but what is the plan? call three streets unless we hit a J or fold when overcards come?

On this board, which is one of the best for JJ, raising flop with the intention to barrel turn is definitely the more active lines one can take.

If you raise OTF what hands do you expect to get value from besides TT?
Not sure if A5, K5, 44-22, 88-66 will call. But maybe I am wrong.
Or is it more for protection?

Folding on that river is probably best imo.

The plan with calling is to let him have all the air and bluffs in his range. Although he is 5% 3 bet he knows me and i think he 3 bets wider because i open from the sb a little wider. He should have all the Ak, aq, kq and maybe even lower pairs. A,K are not good cards but there are many better cards that are possible to come

Just saw that were quite deep, but still hoping to get to showdown with your jacks just does not feel right.
Anyhow, I do not think that we mind a fold here. XR here denies equity/protects your hand. What would you XR value range be here only 9x and 55? What are your bluffs? I could certainly see JJ as a semi-bluff here?
