Hey guys,

I have done this before, but I didn't stream or write down how I conquered my way from NL2 to NL25.
This time I would like to involve others, get some feedback, share my challenge etc. :)

So I have been grinding 16 regular tables at Party Poker for ~8 hours a day. This got me not only profits from the tables, but also from their rakerace and the regular rakeback. Actually, the promotion was where the big money was for me. Probably because I'm turning on my auto-pilot after a while - so I'm kinda looking for some tips/ways to stay focussed here. I have been trying to set alarms to get a break, every x minutes - but that only works a few times, before I just don't set another alarm anymore.

Now I would like to start over at NL2 and grind my way up again. The plan is to stream most of the time that I'm online.. perhaps even all the time. That might give me a sense of responsibility to play well :P
My game is probably not optimal, but it's definitely beating the micro and low stakes.

The stream won't have a cam and mic at first (I broke my headset and simply don't have a cam), but I'm willing to invest the money I get from promotions for a good set-up.
My last promotion $s went to an actual leather, comfortable office chair and a desk to sit at (I used my dinner table before as I just moved into this place).

Next few investments will probably be a second monitor, a proper mic and a camera. After that I believe I'm all set.

Sooo just for the record, I'm a Dutch guy - living in Poland, where they pay in Zloty. $1 = ~3.68 zloty atm and everything is so much cheaper here in Poland, so it's a bit easier to reach these milestones. :f_thumbsup:

I'll try to add some more information later - like what's my roll, the status on my points / rake and how I plan my days.
For now I'd like to keep grinding and hope you guys are interested to have a look.

Also if anyone knows how to set up a proper stream or has some tips on that area (I'm a total beginner), please reach out to me ♦

Very cool, just followed. 16 tables are a bit difficult to follow, mainly because of the small size.
I have no tips for streaming unfortunately but I think it is awesome that you do it.

Fair enough, perhaps I should only stream 4 tables (while playing 16) - my decision making however would still be within a split second mostly..

So I just finished my first session of this challenge

I played for about 6 hours and got a profit of $22 (~11bb/100 per my calculation, since party doesn't allow any software)
Got up to 12.24 points, which puts me on the 4th spot right now for $10 in the rakerace.
I'm aiming to get the second place tonight for $20.. 1st one is out of reach the guy is a mad man (his nick is literally Madman).

Anyway - quite okay session :) Will cook something now, get fresh and will be back later (~20/21)

:mdr: I read the title as "ratrace" at first.
I followed you on twitch as well.
I agree about the 16 tables.
First off, I find that the demands of streaming means that 4 tables is my maximum -- but then I'm playing games that pretty much can't be played on autopilot.
It might be different otherwise.

Next, I have my OBS Studio set up to automatically show the table I'm working (or is it playing? ♠_biggrin: ) on nearly full screen.
This has a downside, since sometimes the focus shifts from a table just when something important happens.
I'm workin' on it.

I will follow your challenge too. Maybe I have to buy a bigger monitor if you will stream all of the 16 tables, but I need the upgrade anyway :f_biggrin:

True, PartyPoker doesn't allow any software, however you can download your handhistory afterwards and manually import the hands with HM or PT. Here is the guide how.

I'll look into importing my hands later on today! :) Gonna continue my rat race today! :f_tongue:

Yesterday I took down $10 in the race and today evening I won't be able to play (for some hours at least), so I'm expecting just $6 or $8.
Also it seems the number of players have grown since yesterday, perhaps salary came for a lot of people?

I changed from OBS to Streamlabs btw, very user friendly. Managed to make a few minor changes to the stream!

A quick update before I'm off for today.

It was a rather tough afternoon.. Buy-ins came and went just as fast - only until 15 minutes before the end, when I was up a mere $4, I managed to make a final sprint and ended with +$23. Also rather happy with the hours put in today and of course with the 'new' stream :f_biggrin:

As for the rakerace, I'm not even sure whether I could get $6.. but for sure $4 :) It's something!

What kind of automations? :)

Added a small session to finish the day (1 hour) with a small $5 up.. in the end I actually did become 4th for $10 in the rakerace :)

I'm aiming to move up to NL5 at $160 to have a decent roll behind when I 16 table ($80 at once).
Also I was reading about Run-it-twice as it seems to be much more common to do so nowadays.. and it actually makes a lot of sense to do so, even more when grinding points for the leaderboard is one of the main purposes... Any thoughts from you guys?

OBS has an add-in that does a wide variety of automatic scene switches.
I have it set up so that whatever table my mouse is over gets displayed.
