A couple of hundred I guess, but this of course also includes players who just play a hand full of microstakes tournaments in their spare time but are not really competing in the race. To get an idea of how many players are "competing" in the race i guess you could check the results of the previous races this year and check how many unique users managed to get in the top75.

There is an issue with the ISP that provides the connectivity for the poker servers. It is affecting connections from most EU countries to the poker client. The ISP is aware and is working to resolve the issue.
I also saw this that suggests there is a widespread outage:

Does Unibet have any games other than Hold'em and PLO?
Does it have PLO8 for example?
Also, it doesn't seem that you have any deposit methods that I can use from Canada -- I cannot use Skrill, Neteller or a Credit Card.
I could use PaySafeCard, but there is no withdrawal method that works with it.
Suggestions?

I've been reliably informed by the payment team these are all the deposit options for Canadian customers. Withdrawal options will appear based on your deposit method (deposit with Ecopayz, get Ecopayz as a withdrawal option). Bank transfer will always be available as a withdrawal option.

I suggest that you create a customer support ticket Follow the link then click the 
beside "Open a new ticket"
Give them all the details you can, such as your username, the date when you joined and so on.
If it is possible to have your existing Unibet account tracked by PokerStrategy.com then only customer service can do it.
Don't get your hopes up though -- it is often not possible.

I feel like these popped up/started at the beginning of each month for the last few months but have not appeared in September.

Yes, there will be some missions specific to the new client release on teh 22nd, a bit like tutorial missions to show you around the new layout. The regular monthly missions will return in November.

Good question! I thought there was an affiliate thread but I can't find it now either. Best thing to do is go to https://www.pokerstrategy.com/home/support/ for any affiliate issues. We can only tag you a pokerstrategy member if they tell us to so the request has to come from them.
