Villain's call on the turn makes some sense -- decent pair and a gutshot, but the call on the river is rather strange.

Is this normal for NL 25?

this villain looked like a weaker reg.
what did he think? i'd guess he thought "pot odds" and maybe i bluff T9s, Jxdd, K9s (not in my range)... but i always have value here against such an opponent.
i expected his calls to be mainly AQ and AK, as well as QQ and AA, of course :f_biggrin:

Doh!
Of course, you're right
I read it as $2.32 not 2.32BB

You are very lucky he was so bad most likely fishy REG! PRF his 3b is very questionable and BE! Even his call OTF is very questionable and BE! His call OTT is horribly -EV aka snap fold, the Jam is BE too versus some aggro players who can fold, but fold is best! And OTR is a clear fold as well!
Woah they put an ante even at NL25!

After a day like that, you get 3 free whine tickets.[1]
You can use them any time you like, and we won't roll our eyes ... :roto2:

[1] I would have given you 4, but I'm going to use one myself https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=3185231#post3185231

it's that time of the year where we reconsider our options.
what are the other reasonable networks with fast fold? thoughts on partypoker, gg, bodog, or anything else?

No clue, I can only play on PS at the moment

If you like to play hudless or believe the HUD does not give you a significant edge, I would consider playing elsewhere tbh

month:

just a terrible month overall. the negative BB/100 is because i won at NL25 and lost at NL16 :f_biggrin:
winning felt really difficult, as if you need to play brilliantly to win a stack, but losing a stack just happens in some trivial coolers and it's back to the beginning :f_biggrin: not hitting massive EV draws against recreationals who will pay me off while the opposite happens, a lot of AK into AA, undersets, underflushes, etc.

this brings the total ante-EV-winrate to 8.8 over 90k hands, for the curious.

for the next month, i intend to play a bit less and try to play better.

I get the exclusive poker challenge on PS every month and can complete it 2 out of the max 3 times.
That's still some nice profit when you have a bad month.

But a friend of mine doesn't get the challenge, so I have no idea what to conditions are to get it.
