This whole item has been quite disappointing in my opinion.
Probably the biggest prize ever given away at PokerStrategy and a dream of many of us to play an EPT once in a lifetime.
#1. Given away to an unknown person without any community feeling.
#2. Not available at the start of the tournament
#3. We never heard anything from him after he played (confirming #1) (he busted AQ vs AK in a standardspot)
Enough room to improve for the next time.
Hi najtreg12,
I can see where you are coming from. We try to do the best with what our partners can offer and that means that sometimes we are bound to certain terms.
In this case the promotion was given to people with tracked accounts who made a deposit. We want everyone to have an equal chance and hence do not add something like "the one with the most forum posts will win".
This means because we do not rig the winner, a nobody can win as well as a big forum hero. This fairness will also not change in the future, sorry.
I certainly agree when it comes to what we would have preferred: a hero with 15.400 forum posts winning the ticket, fighting back as an underdog 1:10 in Headsup and finally winning it for the fame. Oh, and distributing half of the money to me... ah na, now I am dreaming....
What I totally agree with you is that how the ticket was given before day 2 - that was far from ideal and you can be sure that we adressed this accordingly. If LV111 wants to say a few words on how it played out, I'd be of course be happy to hear his version,too.
Greetings,SvenBe
Hi .
I don't speak much English, so I use a translator. If he doesn't translate well, I can't write better. I was happy to know that I won a ticket. Then I was worried for two days, because the client didn't have a ticket to PokerStars. I wrote on the forum about it. When there was no ticket for the beginning of the tournament, I watched the tournament and waited for a ticket. The entire first day of the tournament I sat and waited for a ticket. At first I thought I probably need to get a guaranteed prize of 5000000, then they will immediately give me a ticket. When the prizes have already become more than 5000000, and the ticket was not there. How did it happen that I was promised to solve the issue with the ticket on Saturday, they said on Sunday they would give it to the tournament but they didn't give it to me? When I was given a ticket on the second day, I was upset. The average stack at the time of ticket receipt was 830000. It was very difficult to get into the prizes in this case. I have a Restyle stack , I need to win a few all-ins to get into the prizes. Went the third day of experiences. I wrote to support that if the ticket was not provided on time, let them pay with money. They responded 50 minutes before the game started. We offered a choice of 500,000 and 1000000 tournaments with an entry fee of 5200. For me, this is even worse because I need to get to 10 or 20 out of 100 or 200 participants to win money. With my level of play, it's even harder than getting into the prizes from day two. How can I exchange a tournament of 6000000 prize money for 500000 prize money? I decided to play from the second day. I had to choose between a bad decision and a very bad decision. With my stack in the tournament, you only need to play fold or all-in. two laps had to fold. The stack became 200,000. The first all-in AKo vs AKo . The Bank was divided. Stack 254000. Blands 6000/12000 ante 1500. I have AQo in the SB. All pass. CO raise. I'm all-in. CO call with AKo. The BOARD is A234. RIVER 9. That's the whole story. Just hope that you are lucky with all-in otherwise you will not get into the prizes. So I didn't want to play from day two. But there was no choice. Who is to blame for this I do not know? I dreamed of a completely different game. As a result, 4 days of experience and no pleasure. This is the prize awarded to the winner of the drawing.
Yeah not offering ticket before target tournament started is just absurd imo. Though I suppose issue was on stars side assuming information on raffle winner was conveyed to stars in appropriate manner (soon enough).
To me just seems absurd that such promotion is screwed like this. Some sort of extra compensation would seem reasonable.
I have a feeling that Pokerstars is just too big of a corpo. There is no personal touch. Assistance is automated. And even with such a huge giveaway it seems like there was no person responsible, rather whole "department of promotion". (Prove me wrong
)
@LV111 gg, ul ♠_drink:
What an ungrateful piece of human trash must someone be to win a 5.2k ticket and then cry like a baby because the pokersite decides that he has to start in day 2?
ATTITUDE guys, be grateful! Getting a shot at the ept main with a short stack is more of a shot than you would have had without being the lucky winner, LV111...
Hi jonnyyman12
Perhaps you don't know how to play so your thoughts are wrong. No wonder the picture is a donkey. The prize should be without flaws and not just to get rid of the person. The prize is not a handout or a bone for the dog.
Hey guys,
Settle down, please. In a perfect world, this would have worked out better. Unfortunately due to communication difficulties between B2B, the ticket wasn't awarded to the recipient in time. We do apologise for the inconvenience and we would have hoped the ticket would have been available for the start of the tournament.
LV111 does have grounds to complain about his treatment and shouldn't be subjected to abuse because he has complained about the timing about his ticket being issued.
Regards
Laz
