Thanks Johannes ^^

I think some players do pay taxes, but it all depends on the country you live in and the what the law says.

I'll make the story really short then... I started with 3/6 and 5/10 HU this year, after a few days I had a great "aha" moment and realised how the game worked and what I should and shouldn't be doing. Since then I've basically been waiting on tables for bad opponents, and thinking about my hands when playing. I didn't really do any session reviews which is pretty lazy but well yea.. I also used a very agressive BRM which allowed me to move up (and down) relatively quick. The more I played the less I cared about the money so now I don't play with scared money, not even on 250/500 so I can always play my best game.

That's basically it, just playing good versus bad opponents.

tell us more about the 'aha' moment

It was a change in mentality basically, I realised I didn't need to become the best, just be better than my opponents.

"Aha", but how did you get the BR for 3/6??? Long, slow grind or quick success?

Anyway, you're a great advertisment for the game - making us all drool down our fronts, eyes glazing over with the thought of winning thousands of dollars with a single hand. You're the equivalent of Tom Cruise compared to an actor in a local theatre group. It's a different world and most of us will never even get close... ;(

Anyway, thanks for sharing your success - good to know it's possible in theory.

Ye, it was pretty hard. I went up to 2/4 FL SH without any problems, and from there on I was just breaking even grinding 2/4 and 3/6. Still making money because of things I did for PS and rakeback/bonuses.

But don't be fooled... His winrate per hour fell with these two wins

wow i just wanna say this is quite a brag, that's a sick profit for 64k hands and if you play below 3/6 that's insane. whats stakes the most of it came from? what room? how many tables? do you coach?

I'm playing a lot higher than 3/6 nowadays ;)

Most of my profit came from 3805 hands of 100/200 in which I won $86746.40 which is a pretty sick run.

Depends, enough so that I can't lose it all in 1 hand.
