Thank you

Hi EdLeppur,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com! :welcome:
You added this question to an old thread though.
It is usually better to create a new thread for a new question, but since I'm here I'll do my best to answer...

I think any of those formats would do, but you would need to have a decent bankroll to play them -- especially the 180s
A lot also depends on how new your are to poker. I wouldn't recommend them as a starting point though...

If you are just starting out, be sure to check out the free money offers and bonus offers.
Read the instructions carefully -- they usually apply to rooms where you don't already have an account.

It sounds like you're an SNG player so I recommend reading our SNG lessons overview articles first.
That article leads you through the basics and beyond.
It is even recommended if you've played a while _biggrin:

If you have any questions, just post them in the Q&A forum.

All the best,
VS

Thanks J2matos!

Sorry EdLeppur for the delay replying, and thanks Vorpal for the excellent answer you gave. Definitely 180man swings will be high. The key factor is what you enjoy playing the most. Focus on that format, specialize and learn the right ranges and strategy, and you'll do well :)

Hi Collin!

Nice vid you made again :)

One question: Do you think starting the $3.50 RA 180 with only 1500 chips is bad?

Imo it could be a strategy to try to take advantage of loose players in the first half hour, trying to double up and then play on. Ofc. it would mean loosing more often in the pre-ITM stage, but it also gives an opportunity to first get to ITM cheap and then go for FT and winning.

Just wondering ...

Zeezout, sorry I missed this question. I think it's really close because from an ICM perspective your strategy is exactly right! You pay the same for less valuable chips. On the flip side, sometimes weak players make mistakes for a double stack so for that reason I like the rebuy. But it's close and I think you might be right about taking advantage of chip/ICM math like that :)

NP Collin :)

Being Dutch, I'm not checking the English forum every day too. Thanks for your answer :)
Maybe I'll give it a shot, giving it a try for a while. Maybe I'll try for a 50 games or so and then compare it with 50 full stack games. Not a big sample, but they take some time to play :P

Do like the format itself.

Good news about upcoming streaming :f_drink:

What level is the SNG coaching being aimed at? For example, can what is being coached be aimed at $1 SNG's, or is it slightly more advanced?

I am scared of getting things confused and applying things that are well outside of my current level.

Hope the rebuys are going well Zeezout!

Ch0pper, the SNG coachings are no longer happening for the most part, but future ones and those up on the videos page definitely apply to micro-stakes games too. A key thing to beating $1 games, in addition to the fundamentals, is just to understand when you can make very profitable adjustments to fun players which is something we talk about too. Hope that helps and good luck!

Hi Collin,
I just watched the How to study bounty calculations in PKOs video,

I was rather hoping that there would be material that could be used at the table to make off-the-cuff calculations as to whether a call or shove would be +EV when taking the bounties into account.

Cheers,
VS

Hi. I'm looking for recording of this coaching and I can't find it in video section... any idea why ?

Hmmm,
I searched first for all of Collin's videos, and then searched for just the word "suited" in the title.

Sorry, I don't have an answer.

The only think I can think of is that the video was given a different name.
I'll ask the other mods to see if anyone else has an idea...
