Hey guys!

I'm not much of a talker, yet I am going to throw myself in writing a blog!
Even worse, being not much of a talker - I started streaming my voyage :f_biggrin:
Small steps in the streaming world, but it's pretty fun :)

So here's what's been going on the last 2 weeks:

I have given myself a new challenge and started from the bottom.. NL2 baby! We're talking about the 9th of January here.
50$ in my GGPoker pocket and see where 2021 takes us! Rivers of Babylon swinging through my speakers and I started opening tables..

not 1, not 2.. not 12.. but 18! Yes, I started 18 tabling since I got a third monitor from my GF last christmas.. GENIUS! :f_love:
6 on the left one, 6 in the middle and 6 on the right - that looks like this:

Spoiler

Btw I don't consider myself a genius when it comes to poker - nor do I play 100% correct.. especially with 18 tables opened!
BUT here is my NL2 graph -

Spoiler

Not much to say there, just sailing through..

Nl5 -

Spoiler

Started off with a bit of a rollercoaster.. but after that - kinda the same, just the money was double as well as the rakeback, the leaderboards etc etc.

Then we hit NL10 and I am still rolling there (almost ready to move up though.. if I hadn't been playing those MTTs I would be on NL25 already!!)
Reminder to self: don't go crazy on a sunday and register into 30$ and 50$ mtts for fun with friends - you're a cashgame player Harry! (my name's not Harry btw)
Anyway the graph:

Spoiler

I gotta say I'm happy about the results and about my plays. I mostly focus on the fish/maniacs and am more cautious against Regs. On a personal note - I just need to find a bit more of a balance when it comes to having breaks; even just a small one..

Got pretty lucky as I hit a royal flush jackpot twice in these 2 weeks (within 12 hours even!!).. a few straight flushes.. and quads on a daily basis.
Besides that I already won about $175 in the GGcare badbeat tourneys that run every morning
Got some nice rakeback (I have the black octopus 35% flat rakeback deal btw)

aaand what else - oh yea this mad hand today against a huge maniac (both 270bb deep):

Oh and yea I know that the graps don't consider the rake paid.. but I kinda make it up, a lot, with all the rakeback and extras on GG. So still kinda valid moneywise! ;)

When it comes to streaming - I stream on twitch and am known as CptCappert. Perhaps you might have come across it already, perhaps we've met on the tables.. but it would be cool if you'd say hi there! I am actually showing 18 tables - I know that makes it hard to follow all the action, but I just wanna show what I'm doing and I feel that when I select on 4/6 tables on my stream - it misses the feel of what I'm doing! I'm always open for suggestions though!

So that's my last 2 weeks in a nutshell... I'd like to update the thread on a daily basis, but can't promise that :f_smile:

Roll as of now: $973
Quite nice considering we started with 50$ 2 weeks ago!
I've been following a 50 BI rule.. so kinda conservative but safer..
Next step: NL25 @ $1250 - should be this week - although I'm still considering whether I should move up at $1500..
Just that extra bit of safety net for the higher stakes

Thanks for reading so far haha and let's keep in touch!
You can expect an update today in the evening! I try to stop around 21:00 every day and just sleep early (~22).
That way I can get some extra points during the happy hours (7-9AM my time).
Okay gotta stop talking as I said I'm not much of a talker!

Ciao! :f_biggrin:

Hi CptCap,
Welcome to the blogging (and streaming) world! :welcome:
If you haven't done so already, be sure to post in this thread: https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=3035095#post3035095 so others can find your stream.

I followed you anyway -- I can't wait to see someone play 18 tables successfully.
For some reason, I've never see you live -- perhaps its a time zone thing.

Nice!
The rakeback and jackpots are just gravy -- the meat is the winnings at the table.

All the best,

Cheers guys!! Happy to see some replies here
Will definitely add my channel there Vorpal - and, of course, browse through some of the others! Thanks for the heads up there :f_thumbsup:
Last few days I haven't been streaming.. Tomorrow should be a good day for that! So feel free to pop by:f_biggrin:

About the winnings at the table, definitely agree - that's the main thing!
The rake is quite a killer at GG though; happy to pick up the gravy there!

BTW did you guys know that GG is giving winning players a lower index when it comes to rakeback? How does that exactly work? I managed to find some info as my rakeback is definitely not 35%..

Already ended my rollercoaster day, gonna play a game of Warcraft 3 with friends and then just head to bed to start fresh tomorrow!
Today's graph is kind of a bumpy ride, but I made it through and even got some nice profits in the end! :)

Spoiler

Always nice to see this milestone (and hopefully not drop below it):

Spoiler

Goodnighty!

Yup, we knew.
Nobody knows how it works -- not even GGPoker apparently.
It is a thing established by the network, and the details aren't discussed.

There is a whole thread about it ...

Ye I think I stumbled upon that exact thread before!
Anyway.. TODAY

The worst run I have had so far, but it had to come at some point :f_ugly:
A bit unfortunate as this 1000$ milestone is a bit of a psychological one.. but anyway

Graph of the morning session (which I definitely would never stream with my sleepy head):

Spoiler

Just couldn't hit anything.. unfortunate, but it gets even worse - I lost the free $0,25 spin & gold as well!!! :f_biggrin:

Did manage to get 10$ in the leaderboard and also won $21 in the ggpoker care bad beat tournament

What's up for today:
Streaming the rest of my sessions today from 11:00 (GMT+1).. let's see if we can turn the tide! :f_pleased:

Good evening!

I'm just gonna drop the bomb straight away!

Spoiler

That was a horrible day :f_biggrin: I just couldn't get it in right.. couldn't hit etc etc.
But that's all right, I knew it was going to happen sooner or later - a bit sad it had to be today when I decided to stream it + made the blogpost yesterday :f_mad:
Kinda got back at the end, but still paid loads of rake so ended up like 80$ down anyway. Didn't even hit a single jackpot as well :f_ugly:

Am definitely gonna finish 3rd or 2nd in the rakerace tomorrow as I have double the points of #4 and I don't see m catch up anymore..
Especially since I will play the happy hour tomorrow morning (which still counts towards today..).
So $50 there makes it 30$ down and still under the magic $1000 line!

I did have lots of fun with the stream and chat - got some cool comments + gave away $15 in the end by letting people guess how many times I would get pocket aces. (45x for those who in ~12500 hands) Dude from vietnam guessed 43 and was closest!
Amazing guy.. after my very first day of streaming I got back to the tables the next day, and he just asked "Not streaming today?".
I was like wait what! Turns out he had been watching every single minute of the stream haha - love it. He didn't miss a moment after that and always tries to find me at the tables to ask when I'm gonna be streaming! :f_pleased:

Time to get a good rest, watch a tv show and sleep early :)
Happy to finish this day haha

Do I hear an "x amount of hands per y days" challenge incoming? :f_drink:

Anyway - did a calm morning session.. as far as 18 tables can be calm - still in the downwards spiral, not very interesting.
Then when the happy hours were over and I secured my 2nd spot for $50 in the leaderboard.. I started a turbo MTT.
Had to work a bit and thought it'd be a nice one to spike - came in 6th for $68!
So I magically passed the $1000 line again and am more than ready to see it pass the $1250 soon :f_love:

Just a quick update here and I'm about to stream a few hours today..
Feel free to say Hi!

Also I designed a logo this morning... It's so horrible that I love it
+ I think it actually fits an 18tabler

Hahah I love this logo. It's so horrible that if you used it on the tables it would be a great way to induce regs to tilt

@ tmy, solid post hehe - write me a pm man

As you guys see - just grind it out, make the right decisions and your bad run will end at some point:

Spoiler

Super happy to see this graph after 25k hands of breakeven and paying loads of rake..
Time to call it a day and take a short weekend off!

I'll hit the tables on saturday night again :f_drink: Have a nice weekend y'all

I must admit I'm encouraged by the fact that your graph has a few down-slopes in it.

I was beginning to worry you were using dark magic

Quick post - does anyone know the App "Jurojin" and is it okay?

Will update later how the week's been! :)

I know a few people using Jurojin. I think overall the reviews are good but as they are still in beta / development there are likely a lot of small bugs that come up. When I last checked it was free though. I may actually test it out too.

re: Jurojin - I wish their YouTube video showed off what it actually looks like in practice a bit better. I couldn't catch some of the features that were being advertised on their site.

Let's just get right in there with a graph of NL10 so far:

Spoiler

Finally I've overcome that mad period of a flat green line! The way up is back - so for sure this week NL25 upmovings! :)

Also I finally made the step to install Jurojin and that was a great thing to do!
Using 2 monitors with 9 tables now, instead of 3x 6...
I've asked to gain access to the beta features - which would let me use only the middle monitor for tables that require action.
When action is over - they will move back to the other screen (where I can just observe them)!
Hopefully testing that function today! :f_thumbsup:

Anyway, no time to lose - gotta hit the tables again and will upate tonight! :f_cool:

!!!BTW RAKE for today's ~2500 hands:
It says I'm $44.83 up.
Bankroll grew with $18,-

~26$ rake
