Taking shot and trying new things at the same time is often a bad idea.

Yeah, I'll take it slow.
Anyway I've managed to climb through NL2 and now my BR sits on $100 
I want to start taking shots at NL5, but very carefully.
So the plan is to start with just one table NL5 and 2 NL2 where I am feeling really comfortable.
And as soon as I will be able to reach $110 I'll switch another table to NL5 and finally at $120 the last one.
Oh, and in case I'll drop to $80 I will go back to NL2...
I'll wait with all the planned changes to my game until I will feel comfortable also on NL5.
Meantime I'll focus on marking players and writing notes...

Anyway I had a couple of beers today and this picture made me burst into tears:
Hey just wanted to say good luck on your poker journey and all the best of luck with your bankroll challenge I'm sure you will get there. A couple of suggestions I would make is to play a 3b/fold strategy from all positions apart from the big blind then once you are comfortable with this strategy maybe then add a calling range but only then from the btn as this guarantees you having position for the rest of the hand and less likely to be squeezed with only the blinds left to act. Yes, I started exactly as you described with only raising or 3betting where my calling range was created only for set mining. The current game plan also contains a very simple calling range from BTN and CO and for now, it's working fine.
The biggest issue I need to deal with is the river calling when I am beaten. I am working on that, but it's really hard ♦
Anyway, yesterday I have found out that I should never play poker when I am enjoying wine. I lost 3 BI and at that time I was convinced it was a bad beat, but it was not ♦ I was just calling with a hand that could only beat bluffs...
So for the next few sessions, I will focus on basics, which means following the rule: Winning by folding!

another week is gone, so here is my report:
Week: 4
Format: NL2 SH + NL5 SH
Hands played: 5488
Profit: $33.57
Overall statistics:
Hands played: 18754
Profit: $84.25
BR: $123.99

The big drop down in red line is when i was testing my ability to play influenced by wine 
And it cost me something around 4 BI on NL5. But I guess it was still worth it, better to loose on this level than later on.
Besides that I am slowly grinding my way through NL5. If I will be able to get my BR to 150, I will start implementing some small changes to my game. The first one will be to introduce 3bet range for SB to get some money from CO and BTN stealers.
Also when I moved to NL5 I started to mark players according my color scheme bellow. The BAD mark means that I know that the villain is a bad player, but I dont have a big enough sample to put him in the respective type:

Hi there,
I am tagging them with the BAD tag as soon as I see something fishy, like limp, min-raise, or not a full stack on the table, etc ...
And later on with at least 100 hands if I can see some specific stats for a certain category I will change the type from BAD to something else. For example, if there is a player with VPIP/PFR -> 95/0 and I have some reads on him that he is not raising at all post-flop, then I will move him to category CAL (calling station).

Hi all,
I had a terrible start to this week. Lost all my profits from NL5 (5BI) due to bad beats and some tilt. I did a big review yesterday and post some hands in the evaluation forum and then decided I need to slow down a little bit. So my plan is to cut down the number of tables from 3 to 2 to focus more on the ranges villain might have.
My BR still sits on $100 so I will still stay on NL5. But if my bad run will continue I will move down to NL2 at $80.
Another thing is that I will review once more the basic articles because I got the feeling that my game suddenly becomes a lot looser.
