A try to keep 200 games a week and close to 1k games per month, but when new challenges or promotions appear, I can take 300-400 games per week. However, I couldn't keep that pace for a longer time :f_eek:

Goal profit 50 000€

Good day Strategy members :f_cool: No green light in my weekly results and that means I have a loss in last 7 days :f_eek: Although Spins were good again, but I've tried 1k Tournament on PokerStars and busted with 2 bullets :f_eek: Other tournaments also went blank so in total I was down almost 1,5k€. It is tempting to register into high buyin events on special series, but the variance is huge, especially in Turbo tournaments. So I guess it would make more sense for my bankroll to avoid those luxury tournaments and stick to Spins.
The worrying thing is that I should have been down in this format as well, but I was running much more above EV. Not sure if that's just a short period bad card distribution or I just really played badly. I've done very good in 3x games, but all other multipliers showing in red - not a good sign :f_confused:

I had two 10x games last week, one I won, but found myself in a cooler for a second one. Trips with King kicker was no good on the very 1st hand :f_frown:

Anyway, motivation is still high and hopefully this weak I will be more focused and lucky as well :f_thumbsup:

I know it's already March, but finally I'm ready to reveal my goals of 2021 :f_thumbsup: There is still lots of uncertainty in our life and that makes very difficult to plan and follow the actions. However, I believe that having a goal will make you more productive even in such times. So here we go :f_cool:

1. 5 Big Live events
I though that in March we will already know some schedules for famous festivals, but there are still very few named.

The first possible event is The Festival In Tallinn, in early June. It might still be too early to participate but I will keep my eye on. Other events on my radar - Kings of Tallinn, Fisherman Challenge in Vilnius, some kind of EPT in Prague December, and my favorite Battle of Malta in November. Do you believe any of those happens in 2021? Or which other event is happening for sure? :f_eek: I see that now events are running in Belarus and Russia, where I have never been before. Also interesting venue is on ship in Baltic sea, visiting most of the Baltic countries. Could be a nice adventure :f_drink:

2. Play 10k games of Spins at 100$ level and reach 45 ChipEV
This goal includes both volume and quality. The plan is to play around 1k games a month and have 2 months of vacation. Also I would like to have a ChipEV of 45 which should generate around 35k$ in profits. So far my graph shows ChipEV of 38 which still should earn around 22k$ after 10k games. The interesting fact is that by completing PokerStars Challenges and constantly appearing in daily leaderboards I have got something around 100% rakeback. That alone could make a very profitable year :f_biggrin: And currently I am on 3k games which is well above desirable pace. As long as I get attractive promotions, I'm not going to slow down :f_ugly:

3. Reach Final Table in Sunday Million

Ok, there is like 1% of this happening but I still need at least one goal that is out of reach but still very appealing :f_love: Sunday Million is the biggest tournament of the week and its like WSOP online version. This year I plan to play more tournaments on Sundays so at least I will have more shots than before.

4. Update Trophy board or ship Major MTT online event

Probably not many chances to get a Live trophy, so I have higher hopes in online events. However, winning live would be much more pleasant with those camera lights and physical sense of winning :f_cool: Nonetheless, I would take any win and I will leave extra space in my trophy cabinet just in case :f_biggrin:

5. Study poker 360 hours

January - 24 hours
February - 25 hours

Same goal as last year, but I hope this year I will finally achieve it! Projection is 30 hours a month, so I'm trailing a little, but February was such a short month.. :f_biggrin: Anyway, I'm looking for a way to find more time for studying and now I'm adding extra hours in my weekly poker tasks. Should be fine this month :f_thumbsup:

6. Buy land, equip solar system and build sauna

With 5 poker goals already, let's switch to my life goals. And firstly comes buying a land :f_cool: I hope to find our dream land in spring, then prepare solar system in summer and finally enjoy the sauna in autumn :f_biggrin: This is definitely the biggest project of the year so I hope next month to show you something more than the blank page. I also want to thank you all who share youtube videos or other interesting articles about this topic as it really generates more ideas and motivates even more to reach this goal :f_thumbsup:

7. Reach 20k XPoints on French Duolingo and climb to B1 level from A2
I've just tried a quick test in French language and it shows that I'm on level A2 (2nd from 6 possible), so I want to jump one step to B1 by the end of the year. I'm still learning through Duolingo app which I'm very happy with and there is another goal - reach 20k XP overall. So far it stands at 13k and getting to 20k is a realistic one :f_thumbsup:

8. Get promoted with Top Kickers into League III

Last year it was not particularly a good season but at least we managed to save our place in the league IV. This year I'm much more confident we can move up as we managed to keep our best players and also have signed a bit of strengthening. Not sure when the season starts but I believe it should be around late April, so there is still enough time to prepare as a club and personally as a player. At the age of 33, I'm very close to veteran football now, but I hope I have enough gunpowder left in my legs :f_cool:

9. Read 12 books
"Many Sons Have Fallen Dead" by Adolfas Ramanauskas Vanagas
So far the only book but a very good one. It's about a Lithuanian partisans who fought for freedom of our country, mostly in the forests under very challenging circumstances. Comparing to that, Corona is like a water so I have no right to complain that we are living in the very bad times now :f_eek:

10. Live a happy and meaningful life

I was wondering what to write as the last goal as there are many potential candidates like Family, health, friends and much more, so finally decided to form as it is. It will be difficult to put a score on this goal at the end of the year, but I believe that being happy is the most important thing in your life. Some find it in work, others in personal growth, money, myself in the family :f_love: Lovely wife and adorable daughter are the reasons why I get up every morning with a smile and all my efforts are dedicated to them :f_wink:

So here are my goals of 2021 :f_thumbsup: I wish you all the best and hopefully the world comes back to normal life as soon as possible :sfishy:

OK, that had me baffled for a while!

Those look like very worthwhile goals!

Best of luck :gl:,

Very painful week, going back to 4 figures score :f_zZz: Starting from Monday the graphs just kept moving down and every session was like -1000€ in losses.

The biggest problem was that I just couldn't win any of those bigger multipliers. Bad at 2x, decent at 3x, tragic at 5x and 10x. But it was also bad card distribution, not only bad play of me. 1st cooler with AQ and running into quads with fullhouse after that..

It helps to have strong mental muscle but after bad weeks you start questioning is it only a bad rush of cards or maybe you started to play badly. 40 Buyins in theory is not that much when competition is very tight, especially in such a high variance game like Spins. I will have to analyze game more this week and hopefully next time I can show the results in green colour :f_cool: Good luck all :f_thumbsup:

Oh, that's quite a drop. I am wondering, do you look at your status after each session or even during session? Or you are maybe that strong that you check that only at the end of the week?

Best of luck to book green numbers next week!

Hi Pokrovec :f_thumbsup: I'm one of the few who don't believe that checking a graph after session is a bad thing. If you try to refresh every 10 minutes, then yes, it can minimize your concentration. But after all games to check the progress and make a fair evaluation shouldn't hurt too much :f_cool:

Good day fellows :f_thumbsup: Finally a week in green :f_drink: However, it was saved only by promotions and not by my superior play.

A little ChipEV of 21 shouldn't generate any profit and I was down 1,3k for a week. Luckily I spinned and took a victory in 25x, otherwise a week would ended in a red again :f_eek: For this week I don't expect a big volume from myself as I've just cleared my bonus and a new one won't appear at least for 2 more days. So probably I will have a short break to recover mentally until Saturday and then have couple of sessions on weekend.

That means you can grind safely for couple of days :f_biggrin: Good luck all :f_thumbsup:

Well, no much words needed, another painful week :f_o:

I took a couple days break and thought that playing fresh on weekend would be a good idea, but it fired backwards a lot :f_ugly: More than 40 buy-ins lost, stats all over the place, expected line also in bad shape. I am a firm believer in numbers and this downswing raises lots of questions. Maybe it is not a downswing and I just can't beat 100$ limit anymore? I'm also believer in study more when things don't go too well, so this week I don't expect much volume.

The only positive thing is that I'm still in the Sunday Million anniversary tournament, so maybe here I can get some $$$ back :f_ugly: But its just the start of Day2 and no ITM yet :f_rolleyes:

When I saw that you were still in the Milly I went to add you to my rail list of know PokerStrategy.com players, but sadly you were out this morning. Well if a $1400 cash is "sadly"...

Congrats on the nice cash.

Cheers,

It's back with a Boom! :sfishy: After couple of disappointing weeks, I finally managed to grab a winning weak. And not just that, but it was a very good one :f_thumbsup: Played all 7 days, 6 of them were profitable and only Friday session showed a little deficit. However, I must admit that I run so so much above EV, a compensation from other weeks :f_drink:

I was already happy how I was performing until Friday, but Saturday session was enormously lucky. I must have won all the flips as the graph shoots to the moon :f_ugly: At the same time, I am very happy with my ChipEV of 63, but not happy how I've played in 10x game. On the very first hand I got trips, but couldn't find a fold button when my opponent reraised Allin on 9877 - curiosity was wrong when opponent showed J♣:T♣: for flopped straight.

Time to get back to the tables as PokerStars returned my favorite 50 Spins a Day promotion :f_thumbsup: Good luck all!

I saw that -- I might try a few days of the 10 Spins to get my feet wet.
Although I was beginning to get confident playing spins and then I dropped 20 consecutive which kinda hurt.

I hope you have much better results

Small profits this week, but whenever I can paint it in green, I count it as positive :f_thumbsup:

No bigger multiplier than 5x last week, so had to grind it in smaller prizes. ChipEV of 39 is fine, and probably the NetWon is a fair result. 261 games is a good volume for me, but I need 400 games this week to clear another bonus of PokerStars.

Also PokerStars is running Scoop festival at the moment, but my Sunday grind was not the best :f_ugly: Unlucky spot in SundayMillion Bounty 215$ event, 83% on the flop burned out once a Jack came :f_confused:

So plenty of games planned this week, hope not to get burnout myself :f_cool: All the best!

Not a week I would like to repeat as I failed to show profits once again :f_eek: And a PokerStars challenge bonus of 2,4k didn't help as I was running so badly in Spins. Running bad or playing bad, that's debatable, but my expected graph and actual winning graph had a difference in around 50 buyins for a week, or 5000$. Still sucks to lose no matter how much experience you got :f_ugly:

As Challenge is completed I'm taking couple of days off, but planning to update my monthly goals tomorrow. Until then :f_thumbsup:
