been a while since my last update, busy with other stuff (company), but will post a more elaborate update later.

I do have a question I want to ask you guy`s. So where I was happy with the way I was playing, I`m not really anymore.
Doing bad calls (knowing I`m beat but refusing to lay down the hand), way to lose at times,...
Now while looking into this, I came across something I can`t explain in my EV chart.

This is the hand;
PokerStars - 1500/3000 Ante 375 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

CO: 26.27 BB
BTN: 83.31 BB
SB: 8.14 BB
Hero (BB): 13.33 BB
UTG: 1.75 BB
UTG+1: 56.59 BB
MP: 89.1 BB
MP+1: 40.06 BB

8 players post ante of 0.13 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.5 BB) Hero has 8♥ 6♦

UTG raises to 1.62 BB and is all-in, fold, MP calls 1.62 BB, fold, fold, BTN calls 1.62 BB, fold, Hero calls 0.63 BB

Flop: (8 BB, 4 players) 5♦ 7♥ 7♠
Hero checks, MP bets 4 BB, fold, Hero raises to 11.58 BB and is all-in, MP calls 7.58 BB

Turn: (31.16 BB, 3 players) 9♣

River: (31.16 BB, 3 players) 7♣

Hero shows 8♥ 6♦ (Straight, Nine High)
(Pre 26%, Flop 44%, Turn 90%)

MP shows A♣ 5♣ (Full House, Sevens full of Fives)

UTG shows T♣ Q♦ (Three of a Kind, Sevens)

MP wins 31.16 BB

This is the result in my EV chart: (its the habd from 302 to 303, last hand I played)

So I would assume that my Ev is like this:
Invested 13.33 BB
Expected return: 31.16 BB * 44% = 13.71 BB
So a positive Ev of 0.38 BB while the graph chows a negative Ev of 39.990 chips = 13.33 BB (my entire stack).
This should only be possible if we went all in while I`m drawing dead.

Or am I missing something?

Every time I get to a deep run I just start running like a trainwreck.
Was top 20 with 180 orso remaining and went out as 153.

Hands in order:
77 < A4o
A7s < KK (flop was 689 and he had less then pot behind)
JJ < ? had to fold after he called several streets and then donked all-in on A river
QQ < A10
1010 < Q10s
66 < JJ (guy was sitting out for last hour, shoved previous hand with J8o so assumed I was ahead of his range)
22 < A8s

and we are out of the tournament. I know complaining wont help, but man would love to stop running below Ev

In an effort to try and find where I`m going wrong I did some analysis om my tournaments.
Any and all input is welcome.

First some global numbers.
Total hands played: 12355
Analysed hands with pots of +10k chips
Only hands that went to showdown are included.

Over these hands I had a BB won of -186.38 BB and a all-in Adj BB of +390.98 BB.
Statds: VPIP :15.44 / PFR:10.00 / 3Bet: 5.02 / call 3Bet: 11.06 (if anyone would like to see some specific stat, just let me know)

My VPIP range:
Dont see anything to out of the ordinary here

Some explenation about the numbers below.
Most hands were played with preflop all-in, which isnt so weird considering in tournaments the blinds do go up a lot
The split between lost en won doesnt need explanation.
Then I have made 3 options: was it a coinflip, did I dominate positively of negatively (also fairly self explanatory)
Lastly I made a division between Good en Bad. This is how the hand was played (on my part).

For example if I shove from the button with KK for 15BB and the SB wakes up with AA. Then my hand is dominated in a neg way, but I made the correct play.
So this would be under: preflop all-in, Dom neg and Good.

Some conclusions:
Was actually better then I thought. Most hands are played decently, even when looking back at them now.
There were some hands I do think I overplayed, mostly low Ax hands. Where I defend from blinds against raise and walk into higher Ax hands.
So thats something I`m going to look at.

Besides that, the starting hands I lost most with are pocket 66 en pocket 77, but both are because of set versus set hands where I stack off.
So not much I can do with that. Overall I do run below EV but maybe not as much as I expected. :f_confused:

The most interesting things are the hands I played badly because they were really bad.
Maybe they are those moments when I tend to tilt, because I`m stacking off with A6s for 40BB preflop or reraise an UTG raise with 33 and call the stack off.
Ok it arent much hands, but they are preventable. So guess I`ll start by paying more attention to those.

If anyone had other remarks or insights, feel free to share them.

I sometimes look back on a hand and cannot figure out why did what I did.

Some might be mis-clicks, or misreading the table -- for example a few days ago I made what I thought was a 3Bet, but I was 4Betting, since the player before me was min 3Betting a minraise.

If I ran across that hand a month from now, I would not remember the circumstances.

All the best,
VS
