Villain is a maniac fish with 53% VPIP

He was involved in almost every hand.

He raised, 3bet and I saw him once 4 betting with K♠: 6♥:

In a previous hand he floated me after my 3bet-cbet with air and he then did bet $10 on a $2 pot on the turn with flush draw.

Maybe I could´ve bet 3/4 on the river so that he would have thought twice before bluffing me.

But knowing that loved to bluff a lot perhaps was a better move to check/call river?

At the end I decided to bet since I didn´t thought he was capable of pulling that bluff.

I thought for a while and seeing the hand again, I noticed I had the K♠: which blocked many flush combos, so I don´t know if I could hero call the maniac here.

I couldn´t justify the call and I ended up folding.

How would you have played the hand?

you don't block so many flush combos, since villain is most likely playing literally any two suited but it's a nice card to have.

this may be a spot where check/calling the river for pot control and bluff inducing is a good line, since this villain is most likely going to be overbluffing by a lot.
as played, it's sick i love his line, honestly.

when playing such opponents, i like to fight fire with fire. figure out if they have folding range, then start check/raising aggressively yourself with either draws or top pairs.

PFR would be a useful stat as well to know how aggressive villain is pre-flop.

If villain is aggressive post-flop I would check/call the river on a reasonable bet. Against a passive player I would bet/fold as well for thin value.

I like to bomb a flop like that vs a maniac, but the bet sizing is still fine as you keep some of his bottom pair and back door hands in. The river is such a bad card as the way its been played his hand looks so much like a small flush, like Tomaloc said maniacs like to play any two suited cards.
The other problem is there are 2 pair and some sets to consider and a straight. Maniacs play their garbage one way and then with their nut hands they take a different line, it doesn't look like a bluff to me.

I do like his bluff...:appl:
