North is good, right?
Did you discover anything noteworthy in your hand review?

Just common mistakes, I would say. Nothing much interesting. Nasty spews, calling like a station, bluffing with low equity on multiple streets, generally playing without a plan.
Next week starts a new semester so I'll play a lot less from now. I have to write an essay and prepare for a seminar presentation.
I'm now happy about my play recently. I feel like I'm a little bit stuck. I'm going to evaluate my approach to poker and make a plan for study as a guideline.
It might help, I think.
I don't know guys, what do you do when you feel stuck?
Bankroll: 54.23$
I've found out I misunderstood when to take a shot at a higher limit according to standard BRM.
I thought I can take a shot at NL5 when I have 60$. Well, no, I can take a shot at NL5 when I will have 30 buy-ins of NL5.
I'll have to grind at NL2 for longer then I thought. If I would set up a money goal I would become results-oriented, I think.
My bankroll now is quite fine for NL2 so I will rather stop check out my bankroll after every session.
I will rather post updates about my play and check out bankroll every 10k hands.

Hi
Have a look at https://www.pokerstrategy.com/strategy/bss/big-stack-strategy/
In the olden days (2009), when this article was written, the "standard" was to move up when you had 25 buy-ins for the next level -- assuming you always buy in for $100 BB. Also, you moved down if your bankroll dropped to 25 BI for the previous level.
In the modern era you could do with less if you're comfortable. 20 maybe.
Here are a couple of other articles to consider:
5 misconceptions about bankroll management
"Tankroll BRM"
The second one is quite aggressive, and assumes you have your mental game under control.
In my 888 bankroll challenge I didn't start playing NL 5 until I hit 50 Buy-ins, but I played PLO8 10 starting at 200 because I'm better at the game,
but after dropping only 2 buy-ins I went back to playing freerolls to build it back up. (no deposits allowed)
So go with what you're comfortable with!
and Best of luck,

Hi Vorpal, thanks for the articles. I've read them and decided to build my bankroll to 100$ and then I will reevaluate if I want to take a shot at NL5 or if I don't feel like taking a shot and stay at NL2 until my bankroll is proper 30 buy-ins.
I didn't post any update for more than a month now.
But I'm back at tables so new updates coming

I hope you've been well, and were just taking a break.
I'm looking forward to the results!

I'm experimenting with different formats last several days. I've found a single table hyper-turbos every interesting to me.
I will inform you how it goes in a few days again.
Be happy and stay healthy.
These are the results of my plays at hyper-turbos. I play one table at a time, buy-in is 1.5$ and I play just a few tournaments per day. I study for my exams so I don't have time for more now. But I really like this format, it loads quickly and each tournament lasts about 10 minutes. It's very good for my study breaks.
I'm wondering if it loads so quickly because of this coronavirus season or is it standard? I haven't played them before.

What a hand
I couldn't believe my eyes what he called me with on the bubble ♠_o: and then what was on the flop

Hi, I barely play, I focus on my uni study so I take a break from blogging.
Take care and stay safe.
Hi, I’m back to poker after a pause and I want to share my progress.
I started with around $38 and my goal was to get to $125 from where I will take my first shot at NL5.
I reached my goal after playing 27,414 and I was running $7 above EV.
My experience how to crush NL2:
It has been said and repeated countless times, indeed, proper bankroll management is essential and must be followed. Even the best player will not be profitable in the long run without a proper one.
Poker is not based on luck, it just has an element of luck. I can’t hope to get lucky and rush it through the micro stakes and keep winning in bigger stakes. Well, you can, but it won’t work.
I follow 25 buy-ins, which means when I reach 25-buyins of the next limit I take a shot to move up.
If I lose 5 buy-ins I move back down.
The second essential part is a mindset. Poker is a skill game and your skill will go down if your mindset is not good.
It’s a huge topic and it takes time to work on it. I just have a few tips: before you sit at the tables, check your tiredness and your mood. If you feel tired, do not play. If you feel angry, do not play. Fix your energy and mood first. Get rid of distractions and focus on the play. Do not watch videos, don’t surf the internet. Don’t think about your ex or a future partner, next day, next meal, and so on.
You should fully concentrate on the game. Even if you think you can do multiple things at once, your game will not be as it should be, somewhere you will make a misclick, somewhere you will play something completely different than you would normally play, etc.
Don’t play like you want to win money, well, yes you want, BUT you want to play the hand correctly. It doesn’t matter what the immediate result is. The long-run is what matters.
That’s all for today, see you soon.

So true!
Luck is what cards you get.
Skill is what you do with them
Skill is recognizing other player's tendencies and exploiting them
Skill is understanding the math -- at least the basics
Skill is mastering your own ego
Skill is practising sound bankroll management
Best of luck :gl:,
