Dear Diary,

I played yesterday like 2.1k hands in 3 different sessions. While I exactly 1 suckout, I deserved to lose 1 buyin in the end. Nevertheless I am increasing my BSS experience with new tips & tricks.

Sometimes my thoughts are way 2 spewy or the other way around but at some point I will balance it like I did with SSS.

Furthermore I am getting this PPC tonight for the Dutch community so I am pleased to get some more attention of the coachings

Sunday's SSS coaching was fun! A lot of participants willing to participate in the coaching, I love it ♥. Though I got a suckout there as well with 22 vs 72 vs TT on a 732rainbow -> Turn a T:s ={

Players on 25NL as in 12/9 players are easily readable so it is only a matter of time/experience that I can laydown the 2nd best hand

I will play a session now with the correct mindset

Hey guys , long time no see Camp Gerv wasn't really excited to write a blog post but at some point, I had too
BSS FR 25NL is going as it is without warranty, I played 13k BSS FR so far and I must say that I improved abit but the road of learning is loooong!

As I am playing 3 sessions a day, posting those hands immediately after the session and try to learn some more theory, I think my progress is fine but far from optimal. This doesn't mean I am dissatisfied about the way I am progressing! At least I have the correct mindset than the average joe on my limit: No monetary Goals, just improve skills!

Since FTP fucked up my scripts, it didn't stopped me from playing and clearing the Mid-Year bonus. In fact, HEM table scanner worked perfectly fine. The only flaw is that I have to set my Date on my PC permantently on 12th of July since the scanner is in Trial mode until that date

So finding the Fish is not the problem. My current problems are Getting value out of them (as much as possible) on River & Turn. Moreover I hate playing against Tighter Regs/Nits out of position.

So the point of focus this week are:

♥ -> Learning Theory about Extracting Value from Bad Players IP & OOP
♦ -> Study Theory about playing against Regulars/TAGFishes being OOP/IP & Turn/River

The tools I got at my disposal are numerous, Strategy Articles & Videos of PS are ofcourse in my repertoire as well as CR/Stox vids. Discussions & Sweating with other players is a wise thing to do in this period

Last but not least, I also go the coachings & private coachings. I had a Public Private last monday and I learned a few new tricks and filled some leaks But there is still so much to fix!

Currently I am playing 15/12/ 4% 3bet and with a WTSD 23.6% I tend to fold a little bit more, that's my nature actually --> High Variance? Naw.. {Fold!}

My skilllevel is somewhere around the Average Joe in my opinion. I know how to play postflop & preflop, that's easy because I learned that with SSS..

Now the Turn//River is a big Question Mark to me sometimes. EliasVeritas made a good BSS Checklist on the Dutch Forums of what to do. It is a rough guideline but guarantees you a solid and profitable Expected Value!

My graph so far is like this and I am kinda dissapointed in the non-sd line but I guess It is a matter of importance to learn ABC Value poker first rather than focusing on my red line being positive!

When posting hands, it is kinda embarrassing to sometimes ask ''standard'' questions to verify that my line is good.. But actually it is pretty normal since I judge hands for SSS that are perfectly normal as well.

People ask ''Is this standard?'' and then I confirm it and it is done, no feelings whatsoever from my side.

What I am trying to say is that sometimes I feel like I am a Donkey, that I cannot play poker properly. On the Flipside, I just started with BSS so I cannot expect Divine Moves instantly, it takes time to practice.

It takes time to go to the top, and I realize this as well I don't mind//care if people find my plays rather fishy when I post a hand, It is all about Yourself. You should not be ashamed of positing an embarassing hand. Paraphrased in another way Gerv: Leave Ego behind!

Walking through a haunted Town in the middle of nowhere with me, myself and I, I felt a feeling coming up. A feeling of fear, disgust and all other negative feelings combined. Suddenly an urge of Anger erupts when I suddenly see a bad memory flashing before me.

I drop down to my knees thinking about what this nightmare is. It becomes even worse when I felt a hand on my shoulder. Looking behind me I surprised me, her and any other living soul in this village with my look. I saw my highschool crush in front me. When she smiled, I was in heaven. In heaven for a split-second since the Reality was, is and for always be enduring for me.

Everything turned grey even my hands but what remained the same was the blue sky above me. When I looked up, I knew I had to be patienced to let this bad memory fade away. I knew I had to trust myself and have faith in my abilities. I knew I had to stand up, walk through the Storm.
Because we never walk alone.

Saturday was supposed to be filled with Fish and I can confirm that on FullTilt. Especially with the 5x Happy Hours More important this day was that I survived the Psychological hits of thé Variance of BSS FullRing. In every poker game there is Variance but it highly depends on the strategy whether Variance is a major or minor factor.

SNGs & SSS are relatively High-Variance games since with SNGs, you are doing the ICM pushes & nash ranges. With SSS you are mostly shoving Pre or Post-flop thus having no control of the Turn/River.

BSS FullRing tends to be at the other side

I played 1 big session during Happy Hour and it featured a massive downfall due Set over Set, maybe Bad Plays because I'm still a BSS Fish & Learning like hell! I hate to lose and actually I think everyone does not really like to lose whether it is for a couple of dollars or thousands of it on the line!!

When losing Set over Set, I am like okay well too bad and I make a note. Moreover I try to think about the hand after that about how I could play ''better'' on the Flop/Turn/River

But at some point when Fish hit and I miss, at some point everything will be exploding in my mind like T.N.T.

By seriously telling myself over and over again that it will be allright, it eventually was. This ofcourse in combination with showdown wins and stuff to boost my self-confidence.

I ended the first session down -$60 on 25NL but one can see that the bottomend was -400bb, not that I care - I got the bankroll for it but it was something I was not used to in one day let alone 1 hour!

So the goodside is that my second session was a whopping +60$ with minor errors from my part. Sometimes I am dissapointed that I didn't get any extra value out of a hand when I thought that he had Hand A (which I could not beat thus I didnt vBet) but he had Hand B (which I crushed)

I have a total of 45 sample hands to post now and I have to play this FTP Tournament + some cashgaming

This was one of the signs that I am still improving and also a sign that I am still alive

Hows the BSS going???

Today I decided to take a 48 hour break after getting 2outered by Fish for 200bb+ and stuff.

I also got outplayed by players & myself due frustration. The reality check confirms that I am still a fish in BSS so I need to study and restudy the articles/videos in order to find my leaks and improve my skills.

Friday I also ordered a private coaching so I am looking forward to that as well

Additionally after my tiltsession at 22:00 CET, I played Team Fortress 2 till 03:00 Non stop, sick freak I am ♦ but I pwned!

With thsi 48 hours break I will purchase Ironman Month and clear the Midyear bonus (250 FTPs to go). Then I will cashout and go back to Party for August Diamond grind.

This grind is SSS & BSS just in case I don't get enough points with BSS. After all: Learning has priority over Diamond status

Last but not least, I Challenged Vonki for 2 HU SNGs simultaneously. 1 PLO and 1 NLH, she was bragging the whole time about that she pwns me but now iis the time to proof it

And I will not go easy on her X(!
