Can you not play on GG from Germany?

They give away 25 cent tickets every day, except for saturday when they give away $1, so you can very easily build from 0! All you gotta do is confirm your residense, name etc...

The rake on micros for PLO caps at 3bb and in their words it is about 13bb/100. But if you put in volume, there are pretty easy daily leaderboards for literally every game on their site, even slots! The actual RB can be quite small with their "PVI" bs but the leaderboards and GGCare (all-in shootout tournaments for people who get a ton of bad beats) are worth a ton!

Plus, there are also 5 card Omaha CGs.

They also made ALL IN OR FOLD MTSnGs for NL and PLO and they are a lot of fun, but the only bad thing is their fee is 10% which IMO cannot be beaten without the leaderboards. But still they are a ton of fun and worth trying out!

Another kind of winning

There is no Troll freeroll until September, because the Trolls compete in sports. Next two Saturdays there won´t be poker either. Instead of a final table, I can report a nice 6:2, 6:0 instead in singles. _biggrin: Homer and I also rocked the doubles. Well, Homer rocks more in doubles, I´m way better in singles. _ugly:

It was more than 30°C hot and I actually suck at sports when it´s so hot. I didn´t have great expectations today. At the beginning, in the first set, I was behind but could catch up after two games. How I rocked the first set? I have no idea! I just played on auto pilot I guess. I felt fit, I had fun and I was ready. I am absolutely happy with my today´s tennis. I think I played pretty well. _cool:_biggrin:

Are You diving like Boris Becker at the net to reach the Volleys? Are You a Björn Borg kind of player og do You possess a John Mac temperament on Court? Yr Trolls wanna know!

Or possibly more like her?

No, I don´t dive like Boris Becker and probably am a bit stronger than Baby Peach :f_biggrin: My tennis depends on Villainess. I can be very aggressive but also defensive, just playing the balls savely into the field, when I notice that it´s Villainesse who makes the mistakes. But I run very fast and get most of the balls _cool:_evil:

They seem to be having a ball in that game, though. :f_grin:

One should really think hard about their tennis puns be-forehand. :f_cool:

Nice winnings and a little boo boo

Last Saturday and today, it was competition time again. And my singles went very well (won them both), the doubles .... urm... not so much. Homer and I got tired in both games (Homer won his singles too) and after our hard and long singles (2 hours +) our bodies just didn´t want to play anymore :f_ugly: When you get tired in tennis, the unforced errors sneak in and that´s what today happened. Besides, I realized in the doubles today that my foot is not alright.

The long time regular readers of my blogs can guess what: achillodynia! Again!

Glad that next Saturday there won´t be competitions, our last matches are on September 11th.

So, no tennis for me next week due to this little injury....

Fried green tomatoes? :f_o:

..not at the Whistle Stop Café but at Prim´s home.

This is actually this years harvest. The weather was cool and rainy this summer, so the tomatoes couldn´t properly ripe. Now got this big bunch of green tomatoes. But there´s no need to worry. There are plenty of recipes with green tomatoes. Just ordered a special pot yesterday for canning food and make it preservable. Going to make jam and chutney out of those green tomatoes and a lot of other stuff. Planning to can applesauce too, by the way.

And I think I´m going to give the fried green tomatoes a try? :f_biggrin:

Try Pickled Green tomatoes. They are recipes online, but they call them Fermented for some reason. :f_thumbsup:

Is the special pot a pressure canner?
When we lived up country, we had access to tons of free fruits and vegetables, but canning them is a real chore.
Fortunately a friend had a pressure canner, which cut the time to process the jars down to a few minutes.

Hers looked like this:

I don´t think this is one operating with pressure. I think it´s only to put your stuff in special glasses in and program the right time and temperature to conserve the food.

Oh cool -- it is self-contained and self heated then?
That is good, because the pressure canner I linked has to go on top of the stove, and thus adds huge amounts of heat to the house.
In the late summer and early autumn when most canning is done, heating up the house when it is already sweltering is not so enjoyable

Bad poker news

Got sad news today, guys: Titan Poker ceases it´s activities in Germany. Thus, there won´t be any more "Troll Freeroll" :f_cry: No more PLO-CG on Unibet (no more CG available there for German players), no more Titan, so what now? Actually wanted to build my BR after my summer break, that´s going to be very difficult now. Cashed out half of my BR from Unibet and Titan altogether. I think I´m going to spend that money, we´ll be on vacation soon, so there will be some extra little pocket money to spend. The other half of my roll is on Stars, still no problem playing there but the traffic on PLO-CGs is very low. I will try to play different limits from PLO5 to PLO25, something like that maybe.

Will probably look for another room. Return to Partypoker maybe? No idea how this is going to continue, more and more restrictions coming for German players and it really sucks!

Don´t have any plan how to continue, there are several possibilities.

*put all my money on Stars and grind different games there, depending on traffic
*returning to Partypoker despite the terrible customer service
*look for another room
*add one or two new variants to my grind

Haven´t decided yet but will think about those options.

Finally had a little time for poker

Yesterday, there was no competition in tennis, so I could take a little time to play. Returning to the tables was nice. I enjoyed it, even though I was not as successful as in tennis so far. _cool:_biggrin: In tennis I won every singles and a couple of mixed doubles with Homer, my achilles tendon is doing fine, I can re-start tennis practice next week. Next Saturday, there will be our last competition. The last two weeks of September we will be on vacation, off-season starts at October 2nd. Then, finally there will be way more time for poker and until then I can make my decision. Harrier and I will also decide which tournament we may play together instead of our "Troll Freeroll".

Yesterday, I played mostly satties for the WCOOP in PLO and 5-card draw. Unfortunately couldn´t make it into the WCOOP tournaments and I was not really focused. After a long time away from the tables you gotta get into it again first and I noticed that my concentration and my play were not so good. Played also the 2.20 $ PLO-PKO on Stars and caught myself making some really bad calls.:rage: Okay, we will get into poker again in October...

At least I could spend some time at the tables and honestly, I´m pretty exhausted from the competitions and looking forward to the off-season. :f_biggrin:

I can certainly help you with mixed games (and mixed drinks). :f_drink:

Partypoker may be worth a shot. Once everything is set up and running smoothly, customer service should be easy to ignore.

Other than that, I think we might have exhausted most good options for poker rooms, except for GGpoker. I personally don't like it, but other people do. Maybe you could take a look, at least.

I'm sure we could also come up with some other fun challenges besides our Troll Freeroll. :f_love:

What´s new in the garden?

Well, when I bought a green plant for the bedroom, I received a 10€ Discount for an online gardening shop. Was happy to use it and decided to order some carnivorous plants :f_love: Had a lot of trouble with flies this year, even though we have a couple of spiders and I already had carnivorous plants a couple of years ago, was looking for some new ones everywhere and couldn´t find them in the shops. I was happy to find them at this online gardening shop and even with 10€ discount? Let´s order them!

And there they are:
