Thought I would share my success, just finished first at 2.20$ SAT special bounty builder tournament! Total prize was 909$!
Question tho, when we were heads up, I already had cashed for 272$ in bounty's + 300$ 1st place/2nd place finish guaranteed, but when I knocked out my opponent I got extra 300$ in bounty, even tho his bounty was only 27$. So those 300$ comes from pokerstars ? Bit confused as this is my first bounty builder 1st place finish!

I don't know exactly how it works either but let's look at some scenarios:
You are HU he has $100 bounty, you have $200, prize pool for 1st and second are equal.
If you win, you get $100 instantly, you add $50 to your bounty and you win the $250 that's left on your head. So basically you played HU for $350.
If he wins, he wins he gets $200, plus $100 on top of his head and his extra $100. So he wins $400.
Doesn't make sense...
My guess is that there are money left "in the bounty pool" that are pretty much always way more than one would think, but they do a poor job of providing the information of exactly how much it is. I watched Lex win a KO and he didn't know exactly for how much he was HU for either.
You win your bounty and of the 2nd place. I wouldn't be surprised your bounty was around $300.

One tip I will give is just chill out now. Don't go blowing it on big tourneys or play 20 tourneys a day trying to repeat the moment. Stick to your game. Keep coming back and you will cash again!
As for the extra booties. Idk. I noticed Pokerstars doesn't calculate them properly but you also win your own booty too when you knock out second place. If that helps.
