Calling 3-bet with bottom range vs 40bb

Calling a 3Bet with the bottom of your range is risky.
On most flops you'll need to fold.
The old saying was "4Bet bluff the top of your folding range"
I'm not sure that is a good idea on GGPoker where they'll call all night long (and most of the day as well)
Part of the benefit of the 4Bet bluff is that some percentage of the time they'll fold, and I don't see that very much on GGPoker

OTF I would raise to give the flush draw part of opponents range an expensive price.
You'll get called by lots worse.

I think you should fold vs a 3bet from 40BB stack with Q9s. I would call 3bet vs a 100BB stack or deeper, as then you have much better implied odds with your hand, but vs a 40BB stack think it's a -EV to call in long term as you will be folding on a lot of flops with Q9 here, and then few times you will hit the flop, the reward is way smaller cause your opponent is short stacked.
I also think they will have tighter 3bet range if they are playing short stacked strategy, so 4bet bluffing here is also not really an option, as you can't really 4bet and fold vs their stack size, so if you 4bet you will have to play for his stack when they call/5bet you and don't think Q9s is the best hand to do that with.

4bet bluff would be a all-in against the mid-stack. You can't really fold if you 4bet to like $2 and villain will 5bet shove for $1,96 more.

If I would consider shoving villain need to be really aggressive. As played post-flop is standard I think.

i would definitely fold pre against this person in this spot

fold pre.. against a 40 BB stack, possible if both are deeper stacked and you get implied odds you can call and hope you hit the flop like this hand, but also need to keep in mind most likely AQ is in the villains range when deeper stacked.
