Another new word!
I had never heard of pfifferling before.
It turns out in English they're chanterelles
If you wanna get picky, that's French, but we borrow it, and the French don't mind.
Out! Out! Out!
Oh boy!
The trademark of my yesterdays training was OUT!
As I went back to Paleo diet which is pretty low in carbs, my body is going crazy and I sucked at sports
We practiced "aggro tennis" which shouldn´t be a problem for Homer and me. While Homer was excelling - as always - in volleys and smashes, I totally messed up the preparation and attack. Before you run in front of the net, you of course prepare and hit a ball which is very hard to get for Villain. Our coach was not 100 % happy yet with our preparation, so we practicted it. Well, normally it´s not a big deal for me and in competition it went very well. But yesterday, it was just OUT OUT OUT and OUT.:f_ugly:
I took it easy and with humor because I know that intense tennis training and Paleo are not a great match.
That´s why in summer I go off Paleo and eat pasta and more carbs. Okay, next week, gonna still add some pasta if I keep on sucking at sports, during the off-season Paleo is no problem. I have no problems with cycling and Crossfit when I follow Paleo diet.
Anyway, Homer and I are enjoying our vacation, even though we cannot do everything we want due to Corona restrictions.

I remember playing Tennis on the Gameboy as a kid and getting quite mad at chair umpire Mario when he gleefully announced a controversial call that I disagreed with. ![]()

Hello off-season!
Homer and I had our last tennis practice here and tomorrow we´re travelling home. And this means also: Hello off-season! :f_drink::f_thumbsup: This means: definitely less sports! Less tennis, more strength- and endurance training. Our sports workload shrinks now from 6-9 hours to about 3-4 hours per week. Looking forward for more endurance training and Crossfit! ![]()
No sports this weekend! Ouch, my body ![]()
I´m looking back on a great, funny, interesting and victorious season, with a bit too much rain, but very nice. This season was not completely free of injury and boo boos, as mentioned, I have achillodynia and really must take it easy with tennis. It´s time to recover, regenerate and heal. My body will say "thank you" to a lower sports workload :f_biggrin::f_ugly:.
This also means: more poker! Finally! I have been missing poker, so I´m really motivated and eager to return to the tables next week!
We should not forget, this is not a tennis-blog but a poker blog and we will return to the main topic of this blog very soon. :f_biggrin::f_biggrin::f_ugly:

So, what are the future plans?
As I will return to the tables, it´s time to define future goals and plans.
Let´s start with my current BR:
407,57 € (-375€ spent)
Decided to return to PartyPoker, because they have a huge choice of PLO games, especially PLO-MTTs.
Now the plan is of course BR-re-building
Main game stays of course PLO, either CG or MTT, depends on how much time I have
Playing on Stars and Party
BRM changes of course due to lower BR (PLO5/10, PLO-MTTs up to 2.20 $ BI)
Will split my BR: half on Party, half on Stars
And of course there will be some fun side games!
Sounds good, doesn´t it?
Thank you, Harrier!
First I need some luck with my Internet connection. The German "Telekom" (provider) seems to have big issues, however. Hope they solve their problems soon. Internet is very unstable at the moment. :f_confused::f_mad::facepalm:
Not just Germany
I have had flakey internet for several days.
Seems to be settling down today though...
Get the party(poker) started!
Plan for today:
2.20 $ PLO Bounty Hunter
0,22 $ PLO Bounty Hunter
0,55 $ PLO Classic
0,33 $ PLO Bounty Hunter
The welcome back final table
We´re having a nice start, actually: I had a crappy start! Played the tourneys mentioned above and all of them went just totally crappy! Okay, I first gotta get into PLO again, takes time, that´s why I played such cheap little tourneys - and because half of my BR is spent and according to BRM I can play MTTs with an average BI of 2.20 $.
After busting from one of the PLO Bounty Hunters (I think it was the little 0,22 $), I decided to play another MTT and registered to the 1.10 $ PLO8 Bounty Hunter. This very tourney was my little "session saver" and motivation kick of course. Made it to the final table of the 1.10 $ PLO8 Bounty Hunter and could place 6th.
And this pretty hand was also a nice "welcome back gift":
The hand that brought me to the FT:
Even though finished the session more or less (+/- 50 cent) break evenish, that FT was a very nice start and confidence booster! :f_biggrin::f_drink:
Surprise!
Thinking about my poker schedule for this "off-season" until May/June and while I am - as you all know - a PLO-CG player, I need every now and then some change, some additional excitement
And I got a surprise for you! There will be challenges and fun: Harrier and I decided to challenge each other, in poker, but also away from the tables, as we´re also friends in real life.
As we don´t have our "Troll Freeroll" anymore, we found other cool and fun poker challenges. What will it be? And does Prim dare to pick up more than four cards?
You will see here: The Troll Challenges! Follow us and find out!
