Hi everyone,

Got some time on my hands over the next few months and would like to get into MTTs. Beforehand however I was looking to grind some of the 90/180 man sng on PokerStars.

My question is for the early stages should they be played using the sng strategy or the bss used for the early stages of mtts and why?

Thanks in advance!

BSS is for cash games, not tournaments.

Nothing wrong with playing the first few blind levels with the same sort of techniques as BSS -- just raise smaller, and ranges a bit tighter.
If the tournament is full-ring and you're used to playing 6-max that might take some getting used to as well.
Use the first few orbits to identify the players and take some notes.

In the MTT strategy section it says use the bss starting hand chart at the early stages.

Hi. Wish you luck. Advise you to choosing tournaments with overlays, where the guarantee can exceed the amount of the buy-ins made by up to 20%. Participation in freerolls can be a good addition to your bankroll.
