I would just call the flop with the backdoor flush draw and 4 outs for the straight. Your draw isn't strong enough to semi bluff and stack off if villain shoves.

Hey! In this spot from the BB against CO we have a range advantage. Wich means we have a lot more pair, two pair and flop straight in our range, because CO will not open 76o and 85, 84 etc. So the check raiseing is a good idea. We want to XR our best combos and our weak draws that isn t a big deal to fold to a shove. Against a 1/3 bet we can call in odds with our flushdraws and OESD-s -and there will be a ton of scenarios when villain will check back turn and we will see two cards for a price of one call on the flop.
In this case we just have a backdoor flush and a gutshot that not the best draw category---> we don t mind to XR and fold to a shove. So I think this move with this kind of hand is fine. You just got the worst scenario. Better luck next time! And of course say no to the rabbit hunt! It just brings in tilt for the game and steal your focus.

I would always check to the aggressor out of position. Multi way could be a different story.
