Nice 1! ♠_drink: It's amazing how sometimes with just a few chips you can manage to get back into the tournament ... ♠_biggrin: Never give up. Just need to get lucky a few times and now you got fold equity again. You made the top 0.34%!
So 3/4 Pot is also legal ![]()
This hand illustrates a well-known principle in PLO8 -- you need to play for both halves of the pot.
I have a lo hand OTT, but it isn't great, and my high hand isn't the best either.
Had I had the nuts in either case I would bet. (This is limit -- not pot limit)
Since we're head up, if we split the pot we both lose to rake, and I see that this is highly probable.
However here we split the high pot, and my lo -- no matter how bad -- takes the lo.

Pfff even with 4 cards you guys never win... Always splitting the pot...I win with 2 cards...
Serious, who ever wins in this game? If you are fighting for 1/2 pot a lot ... Only when you win 3/4 or whole pot you make profit? Or is this game lower raked?
I don't get that part
Well it comes down to edge...
You are trying to play for *both* pots
You are drawing to the nuts whenever possible
Multi-way hands are good even in split pots
Variance overall is lower
So many players haven't a clue, so go after them, and be wary of those that do have a clue
I struggled for years playing micro-stakes hold'em going up and down and up and down -- never really losing, but not winning much at all, so I started learning all the other games, and did much better

Also, the fact that many players think they have an "escape hatch" with a low only draw or made hand (or more rarely a hi only, maybe) can make them more willing to call big bets when you have them dominated on both pots than they probably would have been in a hi only game.
Ace on the River is supposed to help, not wreck your hand completely

PokerStars had a task "Raise 5 Flops in any game" to get a ghost throwable
Well why not?
So how best to do this?
I figured that the best way was to flat any pre-flop raise when OOP, then check/raise any flop.
It didn't say I had to win the hand, just raise the flop 5 times.
So I did exactly that.
The result:

It turns out that people see check/raises as rather strong ![]()

I also played some FL $1/$2 Omaha Hi/Lo.
Even at this limit, people are playing far too many hands.
They play them so aggressively though, it is hard to really judge what their range might be.
Here is an example:
Opponent has no low, but OTF is seems very likely that there is a low out there.
OTT I get two pair, and can rep the low, which in a PL game will often get a fold here.

I don't believe in ghosts...
A normal session would have won the ghost, you must have really wanted it :). Or you wanted to do something different and see... Have some fun...
Well, still, I don't believe in ghosts..

Well, still, I don't believe in ghosts..
For me, a normal session doesn't include hold'em, so yeah, I was just goofing around.
Such a perfect flop.
The turn unblocks other nut lows, so wasn't happy to see that.
Once the river landed, I thought -- If he has an 8 plus any board card, I get only 1/2 -- or worse a quarter.

[1] "Equity vanishes like a fart in the wind"

I play the GGPoker freebies every day, but this was the first win in quite a while.
I quite often pick up a few bounties, but the win is nice.
In other news, we're finally winding down the winding up of my Mum's estate.
So close to the end now.
I hope to be back streaming starting in November.

Great to hear, I miss the streams.
Great news for streaming in November. I would definitely like to see. Hope the next month will be happier for me than this one.
Thanks melisabernts,
The next two days are crucial for me -- I have today to get all the rest of the stuff packed or removed.
Tomorrow the movers come to take the rest of the stuff to storage.
After that, I'll have free time again.

My Mum would say, "One day at a time".
We owned that truck from 1978 to 1992, and travelled all over British Columbia in it.
It is a 1954 Dodge M152 CDN -- a military vehicle used by the Canadian Armed Forces.
I got it at an auction in March of '78
When our kids were little we went camping in it a fair bit.
We also took in on backroads quite a bit as well
Opponent is playing VPIP/PFR 53/13
More importantly, he goes to showdown a lot, but doesn't win so much (which is quite odd because he is an overall winner, and PLO8 has a lot of split pots)
