Wow.....I have no clue how you do it.....

I wish I could play like you, but the reality is that I am pretty sick with epilepsia and more misery..... Nevertheless, I am going to build up a carreer. I hope I can remember this blog, since I have braindamage after my huge seizure last year.

Kind greetings, and good luck!

Not really proud of my play recent weeks overall. Lot of bad result are from running bad for sure but there is also some spewy plays included as well. Not just by going for bad bluffs or stack offs but also some very optimistic hero calls.

Tough part in facing longer period of losing sessions is that I still lack experience on this format. When things don't go your way it will easily start to bring extra doubts on your mind. "Did I stack off too wide?", "Was that good bluff spot?", "Did I make bad fold/call?", Etc.

When you doubt your strategy it's easy to start getting shy of taking the action you would normally do. So you go for bluff line but give up even though spot would be good. Or bluff catch turn and give up too often on river as "they will have those nuts once again...". Sometimes as mentioned earlier it might be also questionable hero calls with holdings that might be better to fold on flop or turn as playability is just too weak.

Even if you consciously try to avoid these things affecting your strategy its especially tough when format is relatively new. Often bad run will make play too passive and passiveness tend to mean loss of edge in poker in general.

PS: I have type 1 diabetes which bring its own health issues and it's not always such easy condition to deal with. But most of us have our own issues to deal with and aim should be to take that into account. Well I can say I have sometimes played with too low blood sugar levels and that is definitely not good idea.

Massive day today after two sessions, 440€ profit. Had one AAvsAA preflop allin lost on plo25 but on plo50 got this one. Had to play deep stack here as there was just way too much EV versus this consulten. His standard play was to 3bet hands like 7754r and never fold to 4bet.

Had this versus him earlier where I open MP, BU call, SB squeeze, I 4bet and SB call:

Spoiler

Anyway that call versus my 4bet by BU is just so bad imo... Luckily river saved my ass as BU was winning on turn. QJ99ss seems to have 33% versus two AAxx hands but then again I am not sure this maniac on SB really has always AA though. But yeah anyway to try and get into at best flip situation with almost 200bb stack after only investing 3.5bb seems totally unnecessary to me.

This was interesting on whatever I could raise turn. As default I would never do that but BU was opening like 80+% from BU and had been betting lot. Problem was that he usually minbet flop and then went big on turn and river if you just called flop. So I thought its too risky to run into potential set to raise. 200bb deep I would be fine to raise turn and stack off but over 300bb stacks it started to feel bit questionable :)

Bit down today though this hand at end of last session was big reason for it. Open BU and cbet-called flop. Shove turn versus pot size bet. I think I cant do much else really. I would have checked flop without J and just call turn without hitting top 2. So kind of nasty combination. Still had 35% equity on turn though. If calling turn SPR would be around 0.5 for river so its bit meh imo.

looks like you have improved mentally, those losses seem to affect you less and you have found more confidence, mental-emotional strength and happiness.

what is this disease diabetes, what does it mean? I myself have Asperger's I just came from psychiatrist I had depression + Asperger's tied to it, now we got forward from depression, but Asperger's we are still dealing with... it means you are from another world and all that kind of stuff... it is fun and very beautiful but it can also be sad... so this sadness it is very beautiful to conquer that, but "not understanding the world and other people around you" it is sooo tough

This is quote from site I googled about type 1 diabetes.

"Type 1 diabetes, once known as juvenile diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes, is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin. Insulin is a hormone needed to allow sugar (glucose) to enter cells to produce energy."

So if I don't inject insulin to my body my blood sugar will go sky high and that will become problem quickly. Problem though is that sometimes you inject too much and blood sugar can also go too low. Lot of things also affect how those levels behave like amount of physical activity, type of food consumed and also emotions themselves affect sometimes.

I have type 2 diabetes -- I make insulin, but the cells don't use it properly.
I can control it with medication (so far)
It was quite interesting to me when it was first diagnosed and treated that one of the first things I noticed was that I wasn't nearly as short-tempered as I was before.

Decided to get 100€ bonus and have grinded bit more recent days. I think my play has been mainly ok but today around 700€ down. Not sure how that is even possible. Well will play tomorrow what is required for bonus and then review some big pots. But today I lost so many big pots as favourite when money went in that it was some next level shit run.

Well did check through some and there was one big bluff I could have left undone though I don't know if that was necessarily bad but run into top of villain range.

Then one brainfart play with 200bb stack where I overplayed KQT5 on K95ss. Had top and bottom with gutshot and second nut fd but there was lot of action versus two players and run into top set and nut fd. I think play would have been ok with 100bb stack but likely not with what we had. Versus one I had 120bb and another like 210bb.

Well I will make review video and you guys can give opinions then :)

may i ask how many hands or tables you play per session? I've seen some hands and you run so hella bad as if you were cursed.

I usually play 4-5 normal tables. Session length is usually between 1.5-4 hours. Today completed the 100€ bonus and in process around 300€ profit from games. So back to more reasonable run. Wont play poker today anymore but perhaps will do that review video I mentioned if I have enough motivation.

This was pretty neat hand imo from HU on PLO50 from today. I recently started table so villain is unknown. Cbet flop small as I would do with my whole range. Turn decided to check as I dont have the best kicker and this way I have protection in my range to not always have just overpairs as top of my range. Villain bet half pot and called to x-c most rivers. Hearts that doesnt help me I would have folded. Also 2 would have been weird card as would we have to bluff then or check and hope villain doesnt have pair?

Not that extreme thankfully but if I dont use insulin for several days there would likely be some issues. Perhaps like two weeks could be fatal though. Have not tried and hopefully never have to :)

yea sorry again i have absolutely no information on that condition. in Tibet there was one guy who hurt his back pretty bad in yoga, then they just let him to lie down for one month, bringing him food etc. the body healed itself, they all believed in that. I hope you are ok :)

Will upload first video of that very bad day review today. I made several like 30-60 minutes long ones. Some bad plays for sure there.

Today played first session moment ago. Around 150€ profit. Biggest losing hand was this one on my only PLO50 table. Flop clear check and turn clear pot raise. On river pot odds are great but its very very rare to see villain having bluff. Because either he has weaker flush which would most likely check or he has set that improved to boat in river. He would need to turn some of the flushes into bluff or have plain two pairs to bet-call turn. Both of those seems unlikely. Then again maybe pot odds are just too good to fold but I did fold anyway. Had 17€ behind on river.

Biggest winning one was also on PLO50 versus very maniac looking fellow. Even though board paired I was never folding this one.

Ok here is first part on that review. Some of dont play like this hands :)

Played today very short second session and 2h third session. Slight profit from them in total though I did run 100 or so down in the end of 3rd session. Happy with plays I made though.

Ok seems like one of these days once again... Blah.

44% equity after flop x-r and get it in. I think its fine with Q blocker and I got 20€ x-r in so SPR is less than one on turn if getting called.

Open raise, MP 3bet, 3 payers cold call (lol) and I called. x-r flop allin. 40% equity 3way allin.

Open CO, SB call, BB 3bet and both call. Called dry flop and shoved turn. Villain hitting two outer...

5way limped pot where MP bet-3bet stack off flop SPR 17. Had 60% equity.

Pus numerous setup flops like these in 3bet pots where I am screwed in low SPR spot. Called CO open and SB squeeze.

And here MP limp, I iso raise, SB 3bet, MP and I call. Flop SPR less than 2 so no way to fold and what else could SB have...
