BB checks, Hero bets 3.5 BB, BB raises to 7 BB, Hero raises to 27.5 BB, BB calls 20.5 BB

Turn: (61.5 BB, 2 players) 2♦
BB bets 146 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 104 BB and is all-in

Vilain 73/0 fish (50 hands), moderately aggressive postflop

Okay, so my thought process was that why would he click raise me on flop with a FSD then call 4.5x 3bet, I put AA, AK, KQ, K7, T7 to his hand, and when the flush came it seemed to me irrational (but probably I'm entirely wrong) this snap push, I've seen similar moves from other players, the flush came and they want to "protect" their hands so donk push, I thought that if he has the flush why wouldnt he just c/r push me. (If he plays c/r push OTT I'd fold this)

How would you play this hand? Is it obvious fold? (+If we werent this deep its an easier call?)

Its an ugly spot, recreational players like to donk all in if they "got there". I was in a similar hand, but i had better pot odds i called and he showed me his flush.

I think folding is okay, you only beat a hand like K 7, T 7(which you block so its more unlikley for him to have), and some bluffs.
He can have 77, he can have flushdraws which "got there".

Also you only invested around 30 bbs so far into this pot and now he overbet shoves allin for effective 104 bbs, when the flushcard gets there.

Unless this player is a crazy maniac who shoves QJ as a bluff, i think its an easy fold.

And to your question, in general the better pot odds you get, the more you can "defend" against that shove.

I would have just called on the flop and see a turn.

I don't think a 3bet on the flop is to crazy with top 2 pair against a unknown on NL2, but if you would do that you need to fold the over bet shove when the flush comes. Decent change villain has it or villian is indeed a maniac.
