I would consider to make a thin value bet on the turn with the over pair and flush draw as backup, but than you could get in a a tricky spot if villain would check raise. Than you need to fold most of the time.

River is tricky against almost a pot size bet without any info on the villain in this hand. Villain needs to change a missed draw in to a bluff or over play top pair to make a call profitable.

For me it looks like a set. Players really often just limp/call low pocket pairs, so 55 or 22 would not surprise me. On flop he (over)protects himself from FD and when flush comes on turn, he just checks. I agree he would´t fold If you bet on this street, that would be XC from him. On river he assumes you don´t have flush, otherwise he would expect your bet on turn. So he fires hard again.

If you would bet on turn, you would get a call and maybe both would check on river and you would have save some money. Maybe there are also some 99 or TT in his range, which you can beat and he thinks he is master of universe on that low flop - trying to get rid of you and afraid of FD and possible comming overcards on next streets.

I like the way you played that hand. You could argue to raise flop or bet turn for value and protection but i think as played is totally fine, we keep his bluffs into the hand and river is 100 % call as played. Having the Q of diamond makes it even more a call.

Folding river here as played is WAY to nitty. I would only consider folding against an overbet or allin shove.

And what was that? 66?

I was thinking if it makes sense to give a villain a range at NL5. I see it makes sense on higher limits but here I often play against hands I wouldn't put into his range.
