I've never seen it personally, but I have seen a guy demonstrating how.

I remember once my bro and I flew to Las Vegas. And they decided to go to one casino after all, to be in Vegas and not to go to the casino is just a crime.

My wife and I went to Reno 40 years ago, and we went from casino to casino looking for empty tables for games we had never played.
We would ask the dealer to explain the game, then we would play with 20 bucks, and we'd leave when we bust our doubled.
We won and won and won.
I didn't play poker then — at least not at a level where I could play live in a casino.

In 2015 we went to Vegas, and I played for an hour or so at the Bellagio. That experience cost me $60 — about the same as the admission to a stage show, and (for me anyway) much more fun.

I've seen cheating in my local bar, where cards were marked by nail imprints.

Also saw how some players colluded in sharing their cards. Never been playing there again ...

I first started playing poker in an online casino and cheating was rare there. But I have heard stories about how skillfully they do it. I have heard about multi-accounting. This means that one player creates several accounts in a certain poker room and plays from them at one table or participates in a tournament at the same time. Multi-accounting is one of the most dangerous and common types of fraud. I like to play with honest players in a good online casino.

Most poker rooms forbid multi-accounting, and it is fairly easy for them to detect, so I'm not worried when playing on major sites.
It is the fringe sites where you need to be careful.

There is a wrinkle though.

In one of the more famous cases, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stones_Gambling_Hall_cheating_scandal a lawsuit was launched.
The case was dismissed.

On October 9, 2019, 24 poker players filed a $30 million class-action lawsuit against Postle, Stones Gambling Hall and its poker and livestream manager Justin "JRK" Kuraitis.[5] In June 2020, Federal Judge William B. Shubb dismissed the lawsuit against all three defendants, citing a very old California law. The case against Postle was dismissed "with prejudice", precluding a case from being refiled against him.[6]

Interesting read, thanks Vorpal! I will add though, that whilst the judge had to dismiss the case - California law does not protect gambling losses, even when cheating is involved, he did so with prejudice and advised the plantiffs to amend their lawsuit and resubmit (don't chase the losses, this is a raked game! Sue the operator), condoning a cheats charter whilst raking every non-split pot? Oh now there's a world of pain they couldn't afford to pay out!

While Shubb also dismissed the charges against them, he gave plaintiffs 20 days to resubmit an amended claim against them, as the judge indicates the rake is considered a fee paid to ensure a fair game is played.
