You can find more videos about PokerJuice from my Youtube or theirs. They also have good Discord channel: https://discord.gg/8Se3BFFk

It doesn't help in preflop ranges, but it will help in postflop analyzing a lot.

edit: Most videos about PokerJuice in here are to the old desktop version, which is no longer supported. They have PokerJuice Cloud at the moment, but are working on new app which should be better than PJ Cloud.

Here is a Hand which I have played yesterday evening..

I'm really not sure about that hand..

- PreFlop the 3 Bet I guess was the right thing to do...
- Flop the Check.. I guess was as well ok.. Or I could bet, and the Villain might call here
- Turn - this maybe should have been a raise?
- On the River, I think I'm beat, as I guess Villain has hit now his Full House with KQ?

This is the River - and he has 15%

I'm not sure that Pokerjuice is the best tool for you at this stage, although it's a useful tool which I've paid for access to a couple of times. It lets you model pretty much any hand scenario, and is very slick, but you already have access to Odds Oracle, which gives similar analysis in a less intuitive interface.

So far, I think the best tool I've used is the PLO Trainer Web App, which at the time was $79/month. However, this has now increased to $149/month which is not good news for micro limit players. PLO Matrix is a similar pre-flop tool but less intuitive to use, compared to the PLO Trainer.

If you are happy to study from books then JNandez' book was decent, and is based on the PLO Trainer output, so is a reasonable 'cheap study option'. I also think Dylan Weisman's PLO Launch Pad is a decent introductory course with a lot of content for a limited cost. It's a one-off fee of $99, but this is for lifetime access.

If you have a budget of zero then, although dated, the 'PLO From Scratch' PDF is still a great resource which provides a lot of insight into PLO for newcomers.

The big barrier to a lot of the tools for micro-stakes players are the costs relative to the size of the bankroll you're playing with at those limits, so it's a compromise of finding the best option for your budget. However, there are some great resources available, even with no budget, such as watching the streamers play and discuss their thinking.

Hey Riffman117 thank you very much for your detailed explanation...I would love to join PlaMastermind, but at the moment the Budget is at 0%...

But I will have a look at the PDF which you have mentioned...

Thank you

Hey, I´m a PLO player too. :gl:

In the hand above I wouldn´t check flop. You were the preflop aggressor, you 3-betted and then you flop the nuts. In Holdem, a check may be fine but in PLO there are mostly a bunch of cards you don´t want to see on turn and river. By checking you give every set a free card to improve to a full house (when the board pairs). Bet flop and make smaller flushes or a set pay. A set has about 30 % equity to improve to a full house on turn/river. You should deny that equity to your opponents! And you should get maximum value with your flopped nuts! Slowplay should be very rarely used in PLO because the nuts on the flop can become a bluff catcher or even just junk on the river. There are just too many cards which can improve the hands in PLO, too many possible draws. So, bet flop and try to get it in!

Bet flop. In PLO, in general you don't want to slowplay unless there is a very good reason for it. If someone has a flush, they almost always call 3 streets. Set/2pairs often call 2-3 streets. 1/3 or half a pot on the flop, big on the turn.

I would say that solver trainers (plo trainer, vision etc.) are often waste of money in the beginning. Idea is not to mimic solver strategy, but to understand why solver plays how it plays. And the simplify those strategies and transfer some of them to your game.

You are in a spot on your learning curve where focus should be on preflop (there is a thread for learning predlop in our omaha section btw) and basic flop, turn and river situations. Understanding equities, pot odds and ranges is the thing. Pokerjuice is good for that, although it isn't free. You could do the same thing with Oracle or Equilab, but it's a lot harder.

Like in above hand, you check your equity vs random hand. That doesn't really tell you anything, as his range is not any 4 cards at any point during the hand.

Also if we wanted to slowplay some nut flushes that one would make least sense for it. Reason being that you don't block board pair or other high flushes. So if we want to slowplay some it would make much more sense to use hand like AhKQJh. But I think it's best to just bet all nut flushes as default especially in small stakes. You can check some of weaker flushes.

So here an Update...

Hands Played last week: 5180
Profit: - 21,29$
BR: 127,55$

Received some Cash back from Stars, that's why I'm still above 100$

So this week was not so good, I know I', new to this game. But I have some Mindset Issues, when I have a loosing session I always ask myself if PLO is the right game for me or not.

Why don't you play better NLHE there is less variance etc..

This is an issue which I have, and when I run bad than I play as well bad...

But I know the Hands which I have played are very very few...
