Weekly update no. 19

Hello guys,

On this past week I mostly played on GGPoker, on Pokerstars I played some daily freerolls and on the weekend I played into the Sunday Storm PKO. I managed to play one $3.75 Hyper- Turbo sat and won my ticket :f_cool:

Unfortunately I bust out when my AA got cracked on the river :f_rolleyes: I never seem to win my all-ins in this large tournaments. "People are awesome in this special tournaments :mdr:

Here is the hand:
PokerStars - 25/50 Ante 5 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

SB: 9,130 (182.6 bb)
BB: 10,195 (203.9 bb)
UTG: 9,875 (197.5 bb)
UTG+1: 9,495 (189.9 bb)
MP: 9,875 (197.5 bb)
MP+1: 9,790 (195.8 bb)
Hero (CO): 11,360 (227.2 bb)

Flop: (520, 2 players) K♣: 8♠: J♥:
SB bets 250, Hero raises to 1,025, SB raises to 8,910 and is all-in, Hero calls 7,885

Turn: (18,340, 2 players) 6♥:

River: (18,340, 2 players) Q♥:

Results: 18,340 pot (0 rake)
Final Board: K♣: 8♠: J♥: 6♥: Q♥:

SB shows K♦: Q♠:: (Two Pair, Kings and Queens)
(Pre 13%, Flop 20%, Turn 11%)

Hero shows A♣: A♠:: (One Pair, Aces)
(Pre 87%, Flop 80%, Turn 89%)

SB wins 18,340

Anyhow I managed to get into the money in some of the tournaments that I played but no final tables this week :f_grin:

Also on GGPoker I played mostly Spin & Gold, the daily freebies and 3 x $1.05 Bounty Hunters tournaments. Spin & Gold I played 202 x $0.25 and 3 X $1.00 and managed to get into the daily leaderboard every day that I played receiving some $1 prizes and some $0.50 prizes while building my bankroll :f_biggrin:
In the $1.05 Bounty Hunters tournaments I got some bounties but didn't managed to get into the money.

So the Bankrolls this week are:
Pokerstars: $88.29
GGPoker: $8.31

Last week report: Played from 28.03.2022 - 03.04.2022

Challenge Starting Bankroll: $36.48
Last week Bankroll: $83.47
Current Bankroll: $96.60

Profit Last Week: + $ 13.13

Goal: $1000

Have a nice week guys and good luck at the tables. :f_drink:

Hi guys,

I played my first 50x multiplier Spin & Gold on Monday finishing 2nd after playing over 350 games at $0.25 since I opened my account. Also I managed that day to finish 81st on daily leaderboard. :f_biggrin:

I almost every day get into the top 250 in the leaderboard making a little/more profit. So the bankroll is slowly moving up on GGPoker :f_biggrin:

Weekly Update no. 20

Hi guys,

This week I haven't played much, instead I studied a lot more the 6-max tournaments because I started playing again in the Scholars Leader Board tournaments and really want to finish high in the monthly leaderboard. In my region there are 3 tournaments from Monday until Wednesday with a buy-in of $1.10 and last week I played in all 3 of them.
On Monday I managed to finish 53rd and on the other 2 I didn't get into the money.

Now I am on the 107th on the leaderboard after 3 tournaments played...still a lot to go yet. Top 50 get a min of $50 in tournaments $ and first prize is $1000T.

On Sunday I managed to get a final table to a freeroll tournament finishing 9th when my 77 got busted by A10o. Still a good result, maybe I should not push 11BB from MP. :f_biggrin:
I also wanted to play in Micromillions Marathon this past week and registered into a $1.10 tournament and busted after buy-in for 3 times, after that I decided that was not the right moment to play that series until the proper Micromillions event is announced. :f_tongue:

That is it for Pokerstars this week and on GG poker I managed to play 171 $0.25 Spin & Gold and climbing up the leaderboard there too for daily tickets, I also played two $1 Spin & Gold and 4 x $1.05 Bounty Hunters tournaments in witch I haven't reach the money yet but I managed to get some bounties. Overall the bankroll is slowly raising :D

So the Bankrolls this week are:

Pokerstars: $90.88
GGPoker: $18.48

Last week report: Played from 04.04.2022 to 10.04.2022

Challenge Starting Bankroll: $36.48
Last week Bankroll: $96.60
Current Bankroll: $109.36

Profit Last Week: + $ 12.76

Goal: $1000

Have a nice week guys and good luck at the tables. But not against me :mdr:

Uh some good results - seems like you have much more of a plan where you want to go with this and what kind of format to play compared to me reading here the first time.
Could be that i preceived this wrong at first, but to me this looks like great progress, in selection and results!
Looking forward to the next update :f_drink:

Yes I have to make some strict decisions regarding the games I play and regarding the hours I put in. A lot of players say that with volume you minimize your loses but for me game selection is very important. I used to play when I was in college like 12-15 hours a day ( making the wrong decision to skip classes so I could play ) but all I got from that was exhaustion. Even for the start of this challenge if you read I was moving up and down because I was making a lot of mistakes regarding to this, now I am trying a different approach and try to find a balance that works for me. Most of all I am no more running after that big score.....I'm in for the long game.

Keeping this blog helped a lot and the feedback from the community as well. I post daily in the Hand discussion for Tournaments section the hands that I have problems with and need the opinions of the more experienced players. And that helped massively in the way I play now. That's why the results are coming now.

Weekly Update no. 21

Hello Guys,

The last week was one full of events. :f_cool: Started good Monday with a final table (6th) then on Thursday I won another tournament on PokerStars. I played the $1.10 Scholars Tournaments I haven't done great on those :f_cry: but I managed to qualify on the Half Price Sunday Storm after playing one $0.73 sit & go and also I got a ticket to the $11 Sunday Storm Anniversary by playing the $0.50 Spin & Go's that Stars are running currently. On this week Half Price Sunday Storm I finished relatively early, but let's hope I can do better next week on the Anniversary one :f_grin:

The big results came form GGPoker where my bankroll is quite nice :f_cool: On Wednesday I managed to finish 39th in my first ever tournament cash on GG, then on Thursday I used my freebie ticket ($0.25 Battle Royal) and finished 2nd :f_grin: after that I played some more $0.25 Battle Royal tournaments and managed to win some of them :f_grin:

Then since my bankroll was rising a little I decided to try the $1.00 Battle Royals and OMG :gl: I managed to win my first tournament played :mdr:

And since Thursday I played a lot of Battle Royals tournaments in total I played 89 x 0.25$ and 47 x $1.00 managing to win some of them and finishing a lot of them at the final table :f_biggrin: I also played the daily $2.10 and $1.05 Bounty Hunters Tournaments so the bankroll at GGPoker this last week had a nice boost :f_drink:
On the Battle Royal daily leader board I managed to finish into the money receiving some T$ that I used for re-entering the Battle Royals tournaments.

Overall the Bankrolls are looking good.

Pokerstars: $ 111.26
GGPoker: $80.35

Last week report: Played from 11.04.2022 to 17.04.2022

Challenge Starting Bankroll: $36.48
Last week Bankroll: $109.36
Current Bankroll: $191.61

Profit Last Week: + $ 82.25

Goal: $1000

On this current week I will be away from my computer since for us Romanians is the Easter Weekend so I will be spending some time with my family from the end of the week until the end of next week. So Poker will be on hold a bit (I will be playing late at night from my phone since on 24th is the Sunday Storm Anniversary and I qualified already :f_biggrin:)

Have a great week guys and good luck at the tables. :f_drink:

Hello Guys,

So my 2 weeks holiday is over and is back to business :f_biggrin: This past two weeks I played some poker late at night from my phone but no results since I was playing mainly freerolls, so the bankroll is pretty much the same. The April Scholars Leader Board came to an end, I played only 7 days in total finishing 291 long way off from the money positions. This month I'm planning to play all the events and hope for at least top 50.

This month the SCOOP is starting and I am planning to play some small events. I will try to qualify through some satellites within my bankroll. On GGPoker I played only the daily freebies but no results there either.

Last 2 weeks report: Played from 18.04.2022 to 01.05.2022

Challenge Starting Bankroll: $36.48
Last week Bankroll: $191.61
Current Bankroll: $189.12

Profit Last Week: - $ 2.49

Hello guys,

This week SCOOP took me a lot of time :f_grin: I tried to qualify to almost every small SCOOP tournament. I was playing a lot of $0.50 Spin & Go's and some $4 Spin & Go's so the Bankroll for know is decreasing a little.

I managed to finish 1753rd from 15918 players in SCOOP 8-L and won $21.10.

I played events SCOOP 10-L , SCOOP 11-L, and yesterday I played SCOOP 37-L the 6-max one I was a nice tournament in which at one point I was down to 0.43 BB and managed to came back but unfortunately it was not a good wining story until the end :f_biggrin: and busted with KK right around the bubble.

Here is the hand. Pretty salty about that one X(

PokerStars - 1250/2500 Ante 325 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

UTG: 40,675 (16.3 bb)

https://pokerstarslearn.com

I don't know the requirements for this tournaments but I know I was a pokerstars School member since 2010 when I opened my account.

There is also the Freshman Leader Board for new pokerstars school members.
