I am just wondering, it seems people have to call a us number for this "services". Why are those numbers not quickly cancelled by the feds. Especially when they imposting being Amazon or similar.
My father once got a call that he won $500, he only needs to pay 25$ for this to release the money. He answered, feel free to deduct the 25 from my winnings and send me the rest.

It seems to me though, that since the scammers are not located in that country it might be difficult to do.

I just saw another one, they have mules in the country to whom the people shall send the money or gift cards. Here is a nice video, where they sent a glitter bomb with GPS tracking to one of the mules.
