found this hand and i think its quite interesting. calling in SB and kinda hoping for BB to come along too, to have some better implied odds in case i make my set.
Flop vs pot cbet my hand feels weird, probbly better to give up? but villain is super short and comitted from there anyway. not sure how to approach this whole situation correctly - any thoughts?

I don't want to play it 3 way. Pretty bad hand for this and oop. Just 3b preflop and get it in or fold.
With your setminingstrategy you will not win much from the BU and BB will have a lot of marginal stuff as well.

well i should have little to no foldequity vs shorty so don't know what 3betting with my hand would do here for me. worstcase bb wakes up 4betting and i have to fold and even if bb just calls i am suddenly playing a big pot with crappy kkxx oop.
just folding KKxx vs BTN open also seems strange to me.

I doubt KKxx is printing in this scenario. So why not folding?

well against btn range still should be quite decent, even if shorty? i am not sure what ss would open here, if similary wide as normal player, or if the range is supposed to be much tighter even on btn?

Rainbow Kings, just fold preflop. If called, easy fold on the flop.

Theory wise shorter stack means tighter open range at least like 50bb vs 100bb. In practice though in small stakes short stacker likely wont play like that. If we want to play this I would definitely 3bet to iso short stack but even versus 20bb stack this is likely too wide? Like KKT9r type I would likely 3bet. For BB this is super bad spot to cold call versus 3bet as he takes possibility of BU 4bet shoving and hero potentially 5betting. Then again very dependent of BB player.

yes i also think 3bet feels a bit too lose / risky with this hand. in general ofc 3bet from sb is a nice option for reasons you mentioned and KKT9 very likely would 3bet aswell ^^.
i guess best really is to just give shorty a bit tighter range and fold.
Overall they are quite trashy and i just got lured by not really knowing what to do here vs shorty i fear :/
