The villain looked like a TAG.

GG Poker - $0.50 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BTN): 103.68 BB
SB: 41.56 BB
BB: 157.98 BB
UTG: 101.12 BB
MP: 81.82 BB
CO: 104.46 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 5♥ 2♥

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.2 BB, fold, BB calls 1.2 BB

Flop: (4.9 BB, 2 players) K♠ T♠ 5♦
BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: (4.9 BB, 2 players) 2♦
BB bets 2 BB, Hero raises to 8.96 BB, BB calls 6.96 BB

River: (22.82 BB, 2 players) 6♣
BB checks, Hero bets 18.5 BB

FD missed, our hand strength is somewhat disguised.

Thoughts?

Fold pre. Rest seems fine.

Ahhhh, good point, it's a stretch because it's not on the chart.

If the blinds fold a lot against BTN raises I wouldn't mind to open almost any 2 cards. Otherwise I would fold as well.

Post-flop seems fine as played with 2 over pair. River size could be smaller, but that's villain depended. If villain likes to call a lot I wouldn't mind a big sizing like this.

Cheers,

The moral of the story is, do not open hands that are not on the GTO Wizard's chart for BTN Steal. And one more thing, K6s on BB calling is solver approved, in other words, you are seeing what happens when GTO range collides against sub-GTO range.

Edit: more info

This is a fold preflop, however SB looks like a fish, so I don't mind the open.

As played, bet flop 1/2. You can get called with draws, fold out smaller pockets, ect.

As played, I think your line is fine here. Dont be too results orientated - it's definitely correct to bet two pair here.

Is it strong enough? No brainer actually - River card bricked 2 x FD + 2 x OESD. No way anyone is folding there with any Kx on river.

Surely, we are getting unlucky in this particular spot but I was talking about the range advantage in terms of BTN Steal vs BB.

This open is probably pretty bad, but acceptable against button clickers overfolding BB.

Nasty river, but that's result oriented.
Sometimes you value own yourself like now.

Steal preflop seems fine to me. I agree with your postflop play. Would've play
the same way. Kx hand is never folding here. Long run you will miss a lot of value if you dont bet river

Nasty river card indeed.

Just out of curiosity, what is the lowest range GTO Wizard goes for BTN RFI?

When I look at the charts I used to use I see this:

If I have stats on the blinds, and combined they fold to steal 60%, I'll open ATC
I play fast-fold NLHE these days though, so I rarely have stats, and I'm way tighter.

That's too loose for a default chart on BTN. Exclude A2o,A3o, J3s, T3s, 73s, 63s, 53s, 43s, T4s, 94s, 93s, 84s, 74s, 95s, and more.

Just try out the free version of GTO Wizard and it should let you take a look at the charts.

If population is over folding then you adjust but the default BTN STL Chart is something you should keep in mind.

I'll check GTO Wizard out — those charts are several years old now, and are certainly way to loose for fast-fold.
