Down and up week. Resultswise
Did some solver work, or I'd better say tht I let the solver do some work for 3bet spots OOP and tried to identify some systematics with respect to flop textures.
Currently also trying to shorten sessions.
Week 26 report

Another week in the books.
It is tough NOT to be results oriented when volume is not that high. With high volume good play will eventually lead to good results, but with relatively low volume it takes a while to see the results. The only way to get some positive feedback, I found is to filter for trouble spots and check if I improved my play there. But even then variance will dominate the overall result and one needs to grind it out.
Last week I played shorter sessions than usual, and most of all was able to catch myself several times as my focus was fading and just stop playing. Overall, I still only broke even for the week, but many significantly less big errors than usual. I grinded through some tough card dead sessions focussing on stealing blinds, trying to exploit sizing errors from villain.
PLan for the next week is to attempt to get my opning freq. from the BTN up to where it should be and defend BB more aggro

A rough week somehow. It felt that way. Although I ended up for the week, it felt rough. Not many interesting spots, just grinding it out, trying to steal binds, defend blinds and so on.
I cut it short on a couple of days, just because I realized that I was totally losing focus, although I still had plenty of time left in the day.

Really bad 2 weeks. I played bad poker, played in a bad mood, in bad circumstances and almost blew my challenge bankroll. I do not plan to drop below NL5, so it can happen anytime. I played a lot of hands, had a couple of days off from work - should have spent more time studying, i guess

Wow, almost blew my BR. Ran really bad, 10BI below EV. PLaying felt really good, just either card dead or the down side of variance. I felt I made few errors when an calling or folding, but more an dmore I get the feeling that I leave a lot of $$$ on the tables. I try to bet as thin as possible but not as large as possible or necessary. At least one thought I am having right now.

Clawing back, grinding and struggling to stay disciplined. But, at least for the last couple of weeks managed to be either lucky or make more good decisions than bad.
By far not doing enough off table work. Still, owuld be nice if I could keep the concentrated play for the next week.

Good week for my bankroll. With help from challenge chest + Leaderboard + 1 week of playing, I finally got beyond 2x the starting BR. Well, variance will kic back at some point.
Game wise, I played only 1 week for the challenge, because I was outside of PS EU world, in Portugal.
There I played some on Tiger and also made a couple of buy-ins.
I feel a little too overconfident, so I will have to watch out for run good tilt
Game feels good. I will be taking some shots at NL10 reg tables. Zoom still only on NL5 because I owuld like to be in the green for the year before moving up...and I am not.

What a disgusting time. I am siting here totally clueless about what I am doing wrong. Almost 30BI downswing, W$WSF of 43% and feeling totally helpless.
I get the feeling that every hand I am playing everybody can see my hand. Every other hand is multi-way OOP.
Of course, I have poorly played hands and occasional River call out of frustration: "It can't be that they have it again".
But still
Do you have PT4 or another tracker?
PT4 has "Leak Buster" which will analyse your stats.
That might give you a clue.
good idea. I am not using it atm, but I have it and I could import the HH. On the other hand, it's only 30 k hands.....we'll see

As I feared: I am running lucky according to the "Luck Bell Curve" and the stat analysis does not raise any flags.
Anyhow, I will switch to Reg table until I get the groove back.

That sounds wise.
To play fast-fold I prefer playing much tighter, and a touch more aggressive — but in reality I'm not a very good hold'em player
It definitely help to blow off some steam a ocuple of days ago. And going back to reg tables.
I did not win much, but felt significantly better while playing. Actually, it appears to always help to change something, stakes, table type, poker site. In my case, it realy helps to get the focus back.
On the other had, I am really happy that I have proper job and do not have to rely on poker.

Quite uneventful couple of weeks.
Stuck to playing reg and zoom interchangebly, depending on how I felt and succes in table selection. I look at how loose zoom is playing and if it is about average, I usually jump in. If not, then I try to get on 3-4 good reg tables.
On the weekend evening I played a couple of small MTTs as well. I realize that when I only rarely play MTTs, I usually play much better, no idea why that's so
I definitely have spend too little time reviewing hands ad doiing any significan amount of off table work. So, I will start today by ........
Oh, last but not least, I went to the local casino for the first time in 5 or 6 years to play some 2/4 cash. I usually only play cash when in the US. LEvel of play was coparable to 1/2 in USA, just that there are less small stack players. Played a solid session, won one small pot which nobody appeared to want and a larger one with a 3 barrel bluff holding the nut GSSD. My tight image helped there. Overall, it was a plesant evening which cost me less than going to a movie

After starting on a serious downswing, I managed to crawl back up and even score a small profit for the last period. Profit came via the rakeback, but still.
Looking back, I think it was a recent video from bencb which helped getting through the downswing, but also through not so good ssesions during this period. I mean the video where bencb played some cashgames, being card deat, and still grinding it out as sticking with his gameplan. As a recreational reg, I also have the advantage that I do not play for a living, so I can actually stop playing when I feel that it just does not go my way.

Almost the opposite of the previous reporting period. Started out very strong and ended on a losing streak.
The main difference is, the losing streak was avoidable. I was not very motivated, mostly clicking buttons for a week. I should have studied instead, worked out or read a bood instead.
Bankroll is in good shape though, also thanks to PS which made me extra 100U$ thorugh the monthly raffle.
Going forward, I am focussing on NL10 reg table and NL5 Zoom. NL5 Zoom I am still in the red for the year, and I will not allow myself play NL 10 zoom before turnign to green
