0.5/1 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.67 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BB with A♣, J♥
3 folds, MP2 calls $1.00, 3 folds, SB calls $0.50, Hero raises to $5.00, MP2 calls $4.00, SB calls $4.00.

Flop: ($15.00) 6♠, 5♥, 7♥ (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP2 bets $15.00, SB folds, Hero raises to $10.50 (All-In).

Turn: ($40.50) A♠
River: ($40.50) 5♣ (2 players)

Final Pot: $40.50

For the call, I reasoned that PP's only make up a small part of villain's range here based on (small) sample. So, although it's a drawy flop, I felt sometimes MP2 is betting just because he's in position and neither SB or I have shown aggression. After sb folds, I need 28.5% equity which I think I have easily against villain's range. Even if villain has something like a flush draw and a gutshot with e.g. 9hTh, I still have over 40% equity. So, ok to call this?

I think you are behind too often here. What range are you giving him? FDs and OESDs are possible, but also 56s-89s, A5-A7, 55-88. Against such a range your AJ is not doing so well, it's a fold imo ;)

Tim64,

I would fold there, too often behind.

Cheers

Wonder If you can push preflop there due to being OOP and committed to push any flop...........

I say "Wonder" Cos I havn't got enough energy to write down the EV calculation against MP2's Calling range.

I think you're right DaPhunk, we don't even need to calculate much. I hadn't noticed he only had 15 bb, in which case I agree a push pre-flop is better after 2 limpers.

Hey Tim64,

with 15.5BB stack that's a clear push preflop against 2 limpers OOP.

As played, I'm folding flop, I don't think you have 28% equity on this flop with 2 overcards and BDFD.
