I used to use Powerpoint to record my screen in order to review a session. This does not work anymore. Does anyone know a free program to record screen?
Lot of people use OBS studio.
Nice tool for both streaming and recording. You can also record just part of your screen with some tinkering.

Thx a lot
If you need help with OBS Studio they have a terrific forum system.
If you post a question in the Computers and Technology most of the streamers here will be able to answer
yah obs studio is powerful software, there is a bit of a learning curve but its not that long. you can record individual windows or your whole screen. great for capturing sessions. try not to mess around with the settings too much tho I did that and my last video was unwatchable. gonna have to reset to default settings.
I recently discovered https://getsharex.com/ and I have been using it for still screenshot captures quite a bit.
It also does screen recording in a very simple intuitive way.
It doesn't do streaming though.
I use OBS, as it creates very compact sized MP4 file automatically. Super easy to use, super good.

Neither of those do anything on my machine.
This site agrees with Win + alt + R though https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/screen-record-in-windows
This one https://www.polygon.com/2015/7/31/9081715/windows-10-game-bar-how-to-record-screen-video suggests win + alt + G does similar, but it likewise has no effect here
