Hey,
I´m puzzled as to what´s the right way to play the following hand in this SnG:
PokerStars Tournament #3460096896, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-in: $4.55/$0.45 USD
40 players
1: $70,56 (31,015%)
2: $50,88 (22,364%)
3: $36,72 (16,14%)
4: $26,49 (11,643%)
With 4 Players left in the SnG, this is the hand:
Ante: 125
Me (HERO) (21190 chips stack) - posts Small Blind: 600, [Qh Ac]
BB (9k chips stack) - posts Big Blind: 1200
Cut-off (7k chips stack) folds
Button (36982 chips stack) raises to 2400
Hero shoves to 21065 (All-in)
BB folds
Button calls 18665 (with TT in hand).
Button wins showdown.
So I have 17bb on the SB and I´m facing a 2bb raise from the Button..
If I were to re-raise to 7-8bb, I´might have to play AQ post-flop from out of position if Button just calls.. If Button were to re-raise All-in in this scenario, I´d have to call with AQ, wouldn´t I?
If I shove my hand, I will only add 3BB to my stack if everyone folds.. If someone calls, odds are it´s a coinflip (terrible for ICM with the other two players being short-stacked) or much worse. Should I fold AQ in this spot? Or just call the 2bb bet?
My primary concern here is the payout structure of the SnG, taking into consideration the short stack-sizes of the other two players on the table..
Is there any easy way to calculate whether or not it´s worth it to shove this considering the Tournament ICM?
