Hi my name is Andrew. I like to give myself nicknames. Formerly known as MILFHunter, then just MILF, now known as ✮NƎ⅁ᗡ✮ after I announced I was going pro. That's what it will be for the time being. It has to do with Deck of Degeneracy artwork I fell in love with recently.

You'll see me sharking the $2 to $30 buy in Holdem and PLO5 tournaments as well as NL4,10 & 20 FLASH Holdem, NL10 & 20 regular holdem tables or PLO5 cash games.

I wanted to make an accountability blog so I could keep a record of my poker related goals and dreams, successes and challenges and anything else in between.

It's really good to study away from the tables and find out where I have leaks so I can plug them as well as meet new people. Feel free to chat me up, add me as a friend. I'm down for all that I'm not anti-social.

My goal for this month is to once and for all get off social services. I've been on their system for over 4 years because of a mental disability. I would need to make about $600 CAD per month which is like $20 per day playing poker. That's doable for me even at NL10 just to get started. I'm surpassing that right now by a lot. Just in the last 2 days I've made over $300. I need to start somewhere.

I've made over $4000 in the last 30 days playing poker. That's $4000 more than I made in the last 6 years playing poker because I quit a while back. I didn't think I had what it takes to stay off tilt. I never lost much but when I did I didn't like the feeling because of how I lost it.

I get angry. I give up. I blow all my money. But not anymore.

I've studied the game of poker for over 18 years even when I wasn't playing. I always had a knack for studying the game more than playing. Because I was so bad at the game.

I didn't realize how good I was and how the mental aspect of poker is just as important as learning what your odds are for winning a hand and what opponent types you can exploit and how.

This new GTO theory is fucking me up but I'm slowly learning it from my poker coach, Jonathan Little and his group of professional poker coaches.
They helped me shore up my tilt leak and since then have won loads and not just tilted it all off the very next day.

I've actually had 3 or 4 winning months in a row now. And since proving to myself that I will not tilt, I decided to go pro. Giving up whatever future was ahead of me and focusing on poker. The game that broke me financially when I was very young..and the game that saved me financially when I was broke.

Story goes..I had just tilted off my last $300. I had $20 left from rakeback the morning after. I wanted to play in a poker tournament but it cost $30. I went to the NL 100 FLASH game to make the extra 10 and on my second hand got dealt AKs, made a pair and doubled my money and got into the tournament. It was a 12K Warrior tournament. 2.3k for first place. I joined a few minutes late but I ended up winning the tournament.

I couldn't believe my luck. I said to myself this can't be real. There's no way this just happened.

I was high for days. But the losing continued. I paid off all of my bills all of my debt and all of the money that I had deposited to play poker I had returned to myself. I also gave some to my family. I also bought myself some stuff. But on my birthday I lost over I think 1.4k playing like an idiot. I was once again left with a chip and a chair. I actually ended up having to deposit again as sick as that is a week after winning the most money I've ever won in my life. Trust me that was not a good feeling. I had $20 left. So I ended up buying into a $10 Hyper Turbo. I ended up winning that. $650 US for first. I had been given new life.
Blessed by the grace of God I ran good and played good and had a significant bankroll again.

Again it started to slip. This time losing 100...200...my poker account was down to $300 again. I was pissed. I decide to take a shot at NL100. If I win, I really get serious about this mental game shit and start practicing proper BRM. If I lose I just turned into a recreational player who plays once in awhile and withdraws his winnings if there ever are any.

That same night I ended up finishing the night with over $800 in my account. The NL100 shot was a success. I made $200 on those tables in about an hour. I then took $20 into a big bounty tournament and ended up 4th place I think? I can't remember but there was another $200 there for the effort. And then some other cash games.

About a week after that I ended up finishing second in a $15 hyper turbo. So now my account's at over $1200 again. And now I'm just rolling.

Today my account is nearly at $1,600 and I have been practicing proper bankroll management, winning my cash games and cashing in my tournaments big money. I've never felt so confident about my game my entire life and the fact that I can just take a bad beat and be upset about it but not let it affect my bankroll.

On KK poker you can actually see your graph for the day, last 7 days and the last 30 days for any game mode you play. In the last 30 days I am up over $4,000 CAD. (I live in Canada.) And I'm so close to being able to be fully self-supporting financially I can taste it and I'm not going to let it slip out of my grasp this time for anything or anyone.

I'll continue to study as much as I can and my next goal is to after I get off social services, buy a car. After I buy a car my next goal is to get out of the house that I'm living in and live on my own because currently I have roommates and I hate it.

I'll continue to blog here as I feel like it's better for me to have someone to be accountable to and I hope you will all reply to my blog and I will reply to yours if you have one as well. Much appreciated.

I also run a YouTube channel for even more accountability which I post hand histories and review hands, play live tournaments and review tournaments I've played. You all can check that out it's Black Dragon Studios.

All in all this still just feels so surreal. To go from a broke boy degenerate gambler who never even really gambled because he was always so broke to feeling like a rich man each and every day when I wake up and consistently winning anywhere I go. I feel like this is all just a dream and I'm either gonna die randomly of a massive heart attack or wake up and realize none of this actually happened one day. I haven't been out in weeks I've just been studying and cashing out. I plan to continue with this but I would like to get out some...I literally never go out.

The reason I play at KK Poker over GG Poker or Pokerstars is because this is where I've had the most success. Great game selection. Fast and painless payouts. Payouts are free, up to 3x per week via etransfer so it's no more than 2-3 days at most. Lots of fish. Low to mistakes cash games and tournaments, soft games running 24/7, highly interactive..being able to throw poo at someone's face who just called 200bb and sucked out a 2 outer on the river is uniquely satisfying, the VIP HUD system is great and easy to use and of course, the 50% rakeback with no drawbacks paid out within 24hrs is amazing. You can't really beat that imo.

Join with club code 1199 to join the pokerstrategy.com team at KK poker today and enjoy 50% rakeback as soon as you start playing!

I find it annoying that I must sit down at the table with only 20 BB, and top up manually.
And that is just for starters

Oh yeah for sure man those are definitely 2 of the drawbacks we have there and I'm not sure why it's like that I will suggest to customer service we get that fixed.

Let's see if this works. Sexy graph my career PLO5 cash game is now in a +ROI% after this week's romping at the tables. Not sure if this is a sign that I'm better at this game mode or the competition is just worse. I'm leaning towards the latter.

I am also already over my goal to make $600 CAD more by the end of the month 2 days after becoming accountable for it. I'm blown away by how much I'm winning at the moment my new end month goal is to make another $600 CAD on top of what I have now.

The PLO5 game is so soft on KK Poker right now you'd think they were all on tilt. Shoving on me with 9 hi flushes and thinking that their flopped trips with no kicker is good enough to go all in when I'm already holding a full house.

My tournament game is feeling pretty weak at the moment even though we've had some big cashes in the last couple of days I've played like 20 or 30 tourneys in total and only cashed in like 5 of them. No final tables that I can remember either and just not feeling good about my game but the cash games are saving my bacon. When you play 10 tourneys and lose them all in 1 day and are still up somehow $150 thats how you know your cash games are peek.

Since you seem to be more familiar with KKPoker than anyone I know, can you explain what the "C" stands for in the F/C button in this image?

I don't see that it could be "check" because if it did, it would not appear in this image, since checking is impossible. Not only that, but if you check the first image, there is also a "check" button.

It's fold or check. The other option is just check. It's relevant. Comes up a lot for me actually.

My MTT game seems to be back on track. Played in 4 tonight after getting some good rest and waiting until I got a bunch of stuff done today before playing. Four tourneys, 2 final tables, a 2nd and 5th place finish, and net profit of $373.10 CAD, not bad for a couple $10 USD buy ins. Also played some spin and go's. Worked up the free spin because of the promotion they have going on for spin and go's and made about $25 as well playing those games which I hate so much!

My end of the month goal was to make another $600 CAD. I made $564 in 2 days so..I guess the new end of month goal will be to make..let's make this a challenge this time.. $1000 CAD :f_biggrin:

Here's photos from today's wins and graphs for my NLH-MTT's. I'm feeling really comfy at the tables right now the HUD is helping so much!

Today's PLO5-40 game was really the only game going with fish. I was already down a couple stacks because of play bad and run bad when I turn top 2, open ended and a 2nd nut flush draw and the pot is already very big. Rick Rude decides to call all in on the turn with about 20% equity and sucks out the nut flush on the river. He then makes a major mistake in thinking and judgment. He blows me a kiss after the hand. I don't usually allow my ego to get involved BUUUT... I turn psycho mode bombing them off tons of pots with air and start showing up with better and better hands after they start calling me and playing back at me a bit to eventually where I would just show up with the nuts. I leave the table with 1053 big blinds. As I leave I say, "Never kiss me again ok rick. Or I swear I will do this again." Rick withheld comment..:f_eek:

Well stated as this is the "accountability" blog I should hold myself accountable for the wins AND losses so..I did not reach my goal of another 1k profit before the end of the month. I actually lost $210 since that announcement. I did, however do something special for me. I came off social services which is like welfare they pay your bills and shit. I was off work from a disability for over 4 years before realizing I was good at poker. This added some mental instability to my gameplay though it was noticeable I was trying desperately to win pots the first couple days. Took a shot at NL40. Lost the amount I set out for it which was $250. Immediately came back down to NL10. Which was good I didn't even think to stay for just 1 more buy in at NL40. So I have the discipline down pat. Now I'm slowly working it back up I'm crushing NL10 but struggling in tournaments which is why I am still down $210. I've lost every tournament I've played in the last 3 days since coming off social and I'm getting unlucky but also not playing that great to begin with.

One of the hurdles I had to get over was the "these players are all better than me" mentality. Once I realized in numerous sessions of NL10 that I'm winning double or triple what the rest of the player pool is winning in 1 session it's clear to me who is the top dog in there right now. But if my tournament game still suffers this will be a big problem for me. I'm not winning my all ins. Even when I get it in good. But I'm maintaining a proper bankroll so I should clear this up within a few days. I also don't feel as much pressure to perform having such a large bankroll (currently sitting at $290 USD). I withdrew about $2000 CAD while the exchange rate was high, will keep $1000 of it for poker in case I lose the $290 and the rest I will live off for the month of September.

We also have the WCOOP coming up this month on Pokerstars which I plan to attend. Many 100k+ GTD events for just a $5.50 buy in. Also some decent $11 MTTs as well I'm seeing on the schedule with huge prize pools. If I run deep in even 1 of them I'm cashing out an entire months salary if not more.

So right now I'm playing the NL10 cash games, the $5 and $10 MTTs with the odd $15 or $20 one thrown in there but I'm only rebuying 1x in the $5 or $10 games and never in any higher tourneys. And that's only if it's a cooler right at the beginning otherwise I just leave so I'm making some huge progress in the tilt department and I've figured out NL10 before they figured me out so I'm happy about that. Reason why I lost my NL40 shot was simply bluffing too much. Those players DO NOT FOLD to me very often so knowing this I am going to be absolutely punishing them as I am the current NL10 players once I get back there. But I won't be taking another shot for a good long while. I need to start making some money for end of September paycheque.

I also just wanna say too the rakeback is really helping. Having a straight 50% rakeback as a professional who makes their living off poker is going to be a godsend for a guy like me who plays a lot.

50% rakeback is indeed good, and I quite enjoy seeing the little bits added when I play the next time.
One thing I wonder though — what is the rake originally?
How does it compare with rake on other platforms?

Ya that's what it is. People are saying it's higher than normal but I think with the rakeback you're basically playing for free!

Haven't posted an update in a while. Pokerstrategy.com members are able to join an exclusive leaderboard until Sept. 18th on KK Poker for NL50 raked hands. 1 pt. per raked hand. Most points at end of each week wins $250 USD, 2nd gets $150 and 3rd a cool $100.

I had just enough bankroll to take another shot at NL50 for this challenge and won over $1000 over the weekend playing. I've since stopped playing in tournaments as my head just isn't in it right now for sitting and grinding 4 hour sessions to walk away empty handed over and over.

I'm currently sitting in first place on the leaderboard. There's only 1 other guy even remotely trying and I surpassed him in just 2 days time and now have a 200 pt. lead on him with just 3 days to go. I'm hoping he just gives up and I win the top prize but now surely guaranteed at least $150 so I'm stoked about that.

I've recovered my winrate on FLASH NL Holdem tables it was sitting at -15% ROI as a recreational player I now have it down to just -3% ROI which means I'm profiting now as this is over a sample size of 60k hands. I'm very happy about that. With rakeback and all the bonuses I am now in the profit for the month as well which is great. I had a rough start but collected myself, found a blessing in this challenge. Figured even if I just broke even the rakeback and extra $250 would cover the time spent. But the blast of the bankroll really gave me some confidence that maybe I have what it takes to be a reg at NL50 because honestly I'm running like shit if I was running even just a bit better I'd be up like 2k. Getting sucked out on like crazy. Not getting my big hands paid off so I'm needing to bluff a lot more than usual which is not my style but you do what you gotta do to get by when the game is tough.

On schedule if all goes well now to just be a reg at NL50 which is a 500% pay raise from playing NL10 with the exact same winrate. There's really no difference in the player pool, maybe a bit nittier. Players are a bit harder to read sometimes. That's about it.

I think I'll just stop playing tournaments and Omaha unless the games are super soft and no challenges are going on in NL50 and just focus on getting really good at NL50. There's more than enough money there to make a bit of a living on and maybe move up in stakes again in a few months time.

Congratulations on discovering our little secret extra promo. Not sure how many players will finally attempt it - but you are right, it has never been that easy to win in a promotion. Also my thanks to the KKPoker team to make that rake race possible!

I'm seriously thanking you all because I needed a good kick in the ace to focus more on 1 specific game mode and move up in stakes and this challenge gave me another opportunity to try that. It looks like everyone has given up on the challenge no one has gained a point on me for over 24 hours now I have a 300 pt lead going into the final day. That will take them like 8 to 12 hours of non stop play to catch up so I'm hoping to just coast into payday and remain in NL50 as a reg! 💰

Here's the mid month report, video can be found on youtube later today if you want to hear me rant for a few minutes. The month started off bad, cash games, winning big, MTT's sucking all my profits from the cash games so I stopped playing MTT's and focused just on cash games. I'm up $1250 CAD this week and well into the profit for the month thanks to team Pokerstrategy.com & KKPoker.net promotional staff for the sick leaderboard chall this week. :profit:

I haven't reported since hurricane Fiona hit my city. That was about 2 weeks ago. I was down $1400 before that. So I had to be off work until the end of September where I really started to pull my socks up. Working the bankroll back up again slowly. But still without wifi. We were without power for an entire week. It did me some good to take a break from the tables while I was doing so poorly after I won the leaderboard chall. I dropped down in limits and have reshaped my game a bit. I'm not bluffing as much anymore and picking my spots to raise more carefully. I'm getting the proper rest and taking more days off. +$500 since the storm. Hopefully the upward trend continues as I really don't want to go back on government assistance again and my daughter's birthday is this month. I'd like to get her something nice. Wish me luck!

Hi nice blog. You are a very diverse player, if you manage to play both NL and PLO simultaneously.
So you snatched 1st place from me on the leaderboard, no worries, I made some nice profit that week overall.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while guys/gals it's been a crazy month trying to get storm relief funding and internet back up and working again because the lines were all damaged from the storm. September finished exactly break even. Which is a plus considering I nearly felted the account halfway through the month and then couldn't play for a week straight. The final week of september we crushed souls. Finished the month strong and with a new mindset on poker going into October..and a taste of what it really would feel like to be broke, started taking the game a lot more seriously. Stopped worrying so much about winning and losing and just focusing more on what I can control which is just playing great poker.

October was an average month cashing a total of nearly 1K CAD while leaving nearly 1K in the account to play with as well for November. Satted into a $50 Halloween PKO tourney for $3 today. Played great. Knocked 3 players out. Won $40. Got heads up against a $126 bounty halfway through the tourney with AA. Had the knockout all set to go he went in preflop all in with KK. Fucker flushed out leaving me with 1.3bb. Next all in I now have 9bb. TT vs QJo. All in pre. I
flop set. He rivers gutshot...wtf...this is bad lol .. not the time for that to be happening but whatever October was a success and now I can move into November knowing my game is improving and absolutely crushing people in the lower stakes where I remain for now. Life is getting back to normal again and November will be a steady month of grinding and taking in hopefully many bonuses KKPoker.net has to offer.

Here is the end of month report for October. PLO5 saved my ass again this month cashing out for about $600 just on that alone. The games are really soft.

If you guys ever want me to do a topic on a certain subject on the channel just make the request right here so I can see.

Cheers!

Cheers mate. I hope they do another leaderboard chall soon. It helps me to have added incentive to play well when sometimes just winning alone isn't enough :P
P.S. I would've knocked you off sooner had I known about the chall in the first place lol..$250 USD is a lot of money here in Canada so we go hard for those ones haha
