But I read about this strategy that sometimes work when after one cbet opponent if he not cbet turn he many times play check-fold.

Ok after reviewing the hand again, you’re right, I thought I had the flush draw too I think 🀣 luckily he folded and aggression paid off

I think I’m my head I thought a lot of the clubs were high cards and a 8 high flush would be good in most instances.

Ok sometimes I missed my hand too. I like here bet for example AcXx or something with combo draw (I think about not ready hand). When I play later I upload some hand on discussion forum to see how I play that hands.

Tbh I would have just called a 8BB raise with QQ as well. I don't like min raising to 16BB and I'm not betting anymore than that. I think with that board, you was getting your money in regardless. You played fine and it just happens.

But if you see he after one limp not isolate with third best hand preflop and just another limp... So in that case he only isolate with aces preflop or maybe not too.

oh wow yeah, I just see he attempted a limp. Mark as fish and add a note and see it as a future profit if you play against him again

Session 33 - NL10 - 14/09/22

Reasonably happy with this session. I had a major downswing but didn't tilt and managed to bring it back around. There was alot of aggressive fish like players, who were hitting everything against me and I'm surprised I came out with a profit eventually. A win rate of 25 is pretty decent.

Hand Analysis 1 - A nice tactic that I've picked up

Spoiler

PokerStars - $0.10 NL - Holdem - 7 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

BTN: $20.67 (206.7 bb)
SB: $10.05 (100.5 bb)
BB: $13.14 (131.4 bb)
UTG: $9.85 (98.5 bb)
Hero (UTG+1): $30.48 (304.8 bb)
MP: $8.00 (80 bb)
CO: $10.00 (100 bb)

SB posts $0.05, BB posts $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has Q♥: A♥:
fold, Hero raises to $0.33, MP calls $0.33, 4 folds

Flop: ($0.81, 2 players) 6♥: 7♦: 2♥:
Hero bets $0.42, MP raises to $0.84, Hero calls $0.42

Turn: ($2.49, 2 players) T♠:
Hero checks, MP bets $0.60, Hero calls $0.60

River: ($3.69, 2 players) 5♥:
Hero bets $28.71 and is all-in, MP calls $6.23 and is all-in

Results: $16.15 pot ($0.73 rake)
Final Board: 6♥: 7♦: 2♥: T♠: 5♥:

Hero shows Q♥: A♥:: (Flush, Ace High)
(Pre 60%, Flop 51%, Turn 34%)

MP shows 6♦: 5♦:: (Two Pair, Sixes and Fives)
(Pre 40%, Flop 49%, Turn 66%)

Hero wins $15.42

Now I don't commonly do this because I know I'd lose a lot of profit by not getting the river bet but Ive come to realise that donks are willing to bet their entire stack with just two pair, they simply cannot let them go. some of them will do it with top pair top kicker and when I identify these players then I tag them. This is one of the situations where I extracted max value with my hand, I had an inkling he had something good.

(Pre 46%, Flop 91%, Turn 0%)

Hero wins $27.25

Now here is a rarer breed of donk who will go all in on the turn with just MID pair. I absolutely love the players tonight.

Main Pot: [$22.45]: (Pre 18%, Flop 21%, Turn 14%)

MP wins $21.44
Hero wins $4.87

This hand sucked alot because I couldnt really fold trips. I had very good quality hand and the river kills me. I had 2 callers to a flop all in. I knew someone would donk out but you have to call in these situations. Yes me and MP shouldnt have been in the hand but sometimes its profitable to see a flop with low pocket pairs as shown here with these boards.

Profit: $40.00
Bankroll: $509.02

I'm offically 1/4 towards my target and 10x my initial investment :f_drink:

The first screenshot is just sick, you made it unprofitable to call and thats all you can do. Maybe you could have done an overbet? I think sometimes to protect your hand then an overbet is needed when fishes dont want to use maths.

Nice profit on the second hand though!

I think NL2 is tough because it’s demoralising. Once you get over the fact people will make plays that make 0 sense then it’s quite easily to be profitable by playing ABC poker haha

Session 34 - NL10 - 15/09/22

I dont think I was aggressive enough this session. The hands I were aggressive with against those with loose ranges, they were hitting like miracles. Nevertheless, it's another profitable session despite it being a 2 hour one and not a win rate that I'm happy with for that time frame.

You can see the moment my aggression slowed down, was when I called an all in with poor equity. It's quite annoying because I folded a hand I would have won because of a donk going all in when I was trying to isolate a bigger donk but I did get his money in the end.

Profit: $8.16

That sometimes is so sick how people win 500bb in table when he plays very funny poker.
On ggpoker this ggcare is sometimes unfair, this time I get ticket to ggcare but i'm another hand when I get set and only lose vs straight (of course fish must get straight after call T6 on small blind preflop) I don't get.
And sometimes I meet players which donkbet on multiway but fold to raise.
LiamXii I sometimes when I play vs fish after for example catch set on dry board I pot size bet flop and on blank turn puts overbet all in.

Session 35 - NL10 - 16/09/22

Another good day in the office tonight. I had a rough start, just couldn't get the aggression with my made hands and getting resistance to my semi bluffs but the patience paid off in the end. Have some pretty good hands to show from this session as well...

Hand Analysis 1 - dont we love it when you make the perfect play, when it should have been completely wrong under normal circumstances

Spoiler

PokerStars - $0.10 NL - Holdem - 9 players

Flop: ($1.20, 3 players) 8♠: 4♦: 3♦:

Turn: ($3.50, 2 players) 4♥:

Results: $23.34 pot ($1.05 rake)
Final Board: 8♠: 4♦: 3♦: 4♥: A♥:

(Pre 19%, Flop 23%, Turn 5%)

Hero shows 9♠: 9♣:: (Two Pair, Nines and Fours)
(Pre 81%, Flop 77%, Turn 95%)

Hero wins $22.29

It's hands like this which is killing my estimated all in equity because I've adopted a very tight hyper aggressive play style. I knew without a shadow of a doubt, I could get this guy tilted enough, that he would go all in with just top pair, any kicker on the flop and it turned out to be right. I used the little emotions and threw enough toilet paper his way, that he made a fatal mistake haha
What do you guys think about this type of play? too risky?

Hand Analysis 2 - for some reason I never consider the possibility we both have the same hand..

Hero wins $3.76

So with this hand, He was the first aggressor with 3x raise. I then reraised him to a 4 bet. He called. Then on the flop the aggression started. I can almost guarentee that he had a pocket pair at this point. I didn't really think he had KK despite it being possible and if he had AA then I would expect he would have reraised, same goes for KK. So I called just incase he did have 10 10. After he called, I was certain I was against QQ and he wouldn't fold to any bet and just trapping. Now after seeing the result, I feel stupid that I didnt bet to get him off the hand. Anyone else think they would have called for sure here? Looking back, on the river when he checked, I should have bet hard. The worst case, we would be chopping as I ruled out AA or KK. This was a very stupid play of mine. Lesson learnt.

Profit: $40.08

Now $190 away from my graduation to NL25 :f_drink:

I have noted down the book in my to read section although I'm currently studying the poker strategy guides before I'm demoted from gold - as I can't seem to get tracked on pokerstars to earn points :f_mad: Thank you for your suggestion

The player in the example was a known maniac also and thats why I made the call with ease (pre flop of course) :)

It may be good to use the cashout system if playing in a really big pot. Like Omaha for example you could potentially get it in on the flop with 98% equity in some rare cases where they need 4 of a kind as their out. So they essentially have 2 outs. If the pot is well over 1k bb it might be reasonable to cash out because that situation may not occur so often for you and would probably to some extent mess with your bankroll as 10 stacks to lose with 98% equity seems kinda dumb when you could just cash out.

Other than that if you're properly bankrolled and playing less than 300bb deep I wouldn't reccomend cashing out in most instances because over the long run you lose a lot of equity by paying pokerstars the fee for cashout.

Keep grinding what limit you at now?
