$0.10 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

BTN: $10.00 (100 bb)
SB: $15.47 (154.7 bb)
Hero (BB): $10.15 (101.5 bb)
UTG: $12.00 (120 bb)
MP: $12.26 (122.6 bb)
CO: $13.02 (130.2 bb)

SB posts $0.05, Hero posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has K K
fold, MP raises to $0.20, fold, BTN calls $0.20, fold, Hero raises to $1.20, MP calls $1.00, BTN calls $1.00

Flop: ($3.65, 3 players) 7 3 Q
Hero bets $3.36, MP calls $3.36, fold

Turn: ($10.37, 2 players) 6
Hero bets $5.59 and is all-in, MP calls $5.59

River: ($21.55, 2 players) 3

MP: No information.

BU: Hands:603
Stats:26/23/15.3/50

Flop: Too big a C-bet? I thought against 2 opponents and OOP I must play here directly pot-bet, so that I put them under pressure, in the best case goes directly all in. I think there are some Qx here and some flush draws.

Turn: I think my all-in was a big mistake here. I think he has some flushes in his hand range and possibly slow played sets, but I'm not sure about that.

Hello,

On the flop that size of CBet throws away many worse hands than you've dominated, even some second pair.
As you play it on the turn it's easy push, you still have TP value and some FD to one card. If he leads set or flush, NH.

I would Cbet around half pot for value and protection on the flop. Now you get in a tricky spot on the turn, but I would shove most of the time as well.

Cheers,

This definitly used to be the best play. But with all the nitty regs these days you either dont get payed off or you get called when beat. This results in making me believe this is no longer standard play and we need to adjust. Thoughts?

I've noticed this, when a reg shoves its normally not a one pair type hand anymore. I haven't seen TP triple barreled vs a reg (don't have big sample, only been playing 2nl again for less than a month, ggp), there is always a check on the river or maybe the turn. There is also less folding to 3bets (a lot less) and a lot more 3betting (a lot more), but its still very ABC poker post flop.

Without the Ks in my hand I go for half pot for value and protection. I am check calling the turn - maybe - depending on what v does, but the pot is so big now you are practically committed. The worst hand v could have on the turn is Qx plus a spade, v might check back a set on the turn now as well.

Pretty standard hand. I would shove flop vs two players. Try not to be result oriented.

Why you would shove for almost 2 times pot on the flop?

Low SPR, simplicity. No cheap turn card vs 2 players.

And to prevent this

Now you get in a tricky spot on the turn

Thanks all.
Yes the bet was in my view also really too big just against 2 opponents oop so I really put me in clear difficulties oop on the turn

You can cbet 75%ish or even less like half pot, then just easy shove on turn, the pot is too big at this point and you still get called by Q+spade, and sometimes even AQ no spade

All looks good. MP could call your preflop 3B with pairs like 99, TT + or AK, AQ, QJs - same button.
So vs 2 oponents big C bet lokks ok. So ont the turn with low SPR again good C bet.

As mentioned above - the big flop cbet throws away hands that you beat and that will pay a halfpot bet.
On turn I think that only hands that beat you will call.

Could be, but with a smaller Cbet on the flop we don't need to play for stacks yet on the turn.

+

but I would shove most of the time as well.

= contradiction

Disagree. Qx hands and flushdraws witch we dominate are never folding here. This is squeezed pot. SPR is low witch means ranges could be a bit wider in this spot. We could even see 99-JJ hands paying us off. This is nl10 after all. Players tend to be spewy and undisciplined

Don't forget the pot size is a lot smaller if you Cbet for example $1,50 on the flop. Than you don't need to shove. Now you have only a half pot bet left on the turn.
