Earlier this month we announced that  https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=3257175#post325717 5" class="profileStatus--icon xs-coach" style="background-color: #ffffff">Barry Carter and Dara O'Kearney released their 4th poker book together - GTO Poker Simplified.

As the name suggests, the book attempts to take the most important lessons from the solvers and make them easy to understand for all players. It is already getting great reviews online from people who previously might not have felt GTO was for them.

As he is our editor, Barry is contractually obliged to giveaway some copies to our members. So this week you can win one if you post a strategy question in this forum thread.

It can be about GTO, or any of the other topics Barry and Dara have written about like ICM and satellites. You can even just frame a question in the form of an insult towards Barry if you want.

We will hold a raffle on December 8 and give five people who asked questions a free copy of the book.

But even if you don't win the book, Barry and his co-author Dara O'Kearney will visit the thread to answer all your questions. Dara will pop in to answer the strategy questions and Barry will be on hand to field most of the insults.

Example: Hey Barry, what's the deal with your face? That's not normal, is it?

How long did it take you for a poker concept that you didn't fully understand to finally "click" and what was that "huh, I can't believe I didn't see this before" moment? How did you approach other concepts that you were struggling with after that?

Why does the name "GTO" always makes me think of this:

Is it the feeling of easy riding on steroïds, or the possibility to dream of buying one by using the book?

Do you strictly follow ICM on the Final Table or say "F*ck GTO, I want the trophy" :f_cool:

You should only follow ICM when other players are playing ICM - which is true against experienced and studied pros, but the more amateurs the less likely it is true. There are often spots where deviating is correct because villains calling range is too wide or too narrow, or villain will do something really foolish (lots of players become bad aggressive if you limp call when they are short).

Does book only focus on holdem or are concepts usable in other poker formats as well?

Do you think GTO is the endgame for poker or do you think it's a step in a learning process?
