Sup noobz

I'm tapping out for the year. I'm having some connection issues with GGP, tables timing out during 3bets :why: This isn't a good formula for a successful session, but it's perfect if you really in the mood to tilt your ballz right off your body. I'm not in the mood for that, besides I don't know where the super glue is.
I've had fun this year, it's a pity I couldn't start at GGP a bit sooner, but I am there now and that's all that matters to me.

Thank you to everyone that took the time out to comment on all the hands I posted and answer all the stupid questions I asked. Thanks to everyone reading this blog and following this donks progress, even if I am not making much.

I hope you all have a happy new year and tons of run good.

Later noobz

Happy new year to you too. Let's hope they keep going this way, and by this, I mean I keep working on my game away from the tables!

That spark that used to start the fire that would burn my session isn't able to catch fire as quickly as it did before.

Bluffed to much last 2 sessions, but the run outs were good for my range, I think, will post some later or tomorrow, just unfortunate villains don't like to fold TP. The rage is slowly leaving me alone to grind longer and longer sessions, now I need to work on some other areas, like picking the right spots when villains are weakest.

No, they sure don't! It's even worse when the flush hits OTR and they call your bluff with 2nd or even 3rd pair — ask me how I know

This is exactly what happened on a paired board, I'm going to post the hand later, I messed it up from the beginning to be honest.

OMG, our power stations shit the bed again. I don't know wtf to do anymore. I sound like a fucking broken record, but wtf man :why:
It's like whales that keep sucking out, are you kidding me!!!
I have a goal, a simple one really, play poker. Now how the fuck am I supposed to do that when I keep getting interrupted with power cuts? This means no tournaments, for obvs reasons. Fuckit, I'll grind around it :challenge:

Goals for the year:
1 - Play at least 30k hands a month. I've played just over 7k so far this month. It's doable, I've increased my table count to 5 and I am able to play well enough not to go into auto pilot and I am still thinking clearly and not losing focus. I'll switch back to 4 if I find myself not paying attention or just stop playing.

2 - Start taking shots at 5NL once BR hits $175, I'd normally prefer to have about $200 before I take shots, but I am playing a little bit better, and my temper issues are much better than they were a few months ago. Still, I will proceed with caution. I've haven't decided on how much I need in my BR to completely leave 2NL behind, but I will be taking shots and then dropping down again if things are not going my way. 1 buy in stop loss at 5NL should be okay for now, will see about changing it later on.

3 - Need to get a proper study routine, I am studying. But it's all over the place. I'm doing hand reviews, watching PS videos, commenting on other members hands, posting hands, reading shit. I think I need to start focusing on specific areas of my game that needs attention the mostly and then slowly expand, like a belly.

4 - Abs. Self-explanatory. We all have them; some peoples are spectacular. Mine is somewhere, I might go looking.

5 - And the most important goal - HAVE FUCKING FUN :fuckyeah:

I'm getting there

Do you have a UPS? It won't let you continue a tournament but it may save your system.

In August of 2020 a power bump caused my boot drive to become a brick. I blame COVID.
I had backups, but my backup was corrupt, and I had to go back to March to get one that would work.

I then purchased one of these:
https://www.cyberpowersystems.com/product/ups/ecologic/ec850lcd/

It has saved me several times. it's primary function is to smooth out the power surges and brief drops. However in the case of a full power interruption it will send a command to Windows 10 to perform an orderly shutdown. This takes 2 to 3 minutes, and the UPS can power my system for about 10 minutes.

This won't do any good, we have schedule's that sometimes change on short notice, but we are notified via app. It's just that power is off for 2 hours and 30min minutes about 3 times a day and sometimes we get it off for 5hrs (this morning), so I will need something with a little more power, inverters are all the rage now with lithium batteries but those are outa my budget atm. Moving power completely off the grid isn't also an option, those that can afford are going to have to still pay some bullshit license fee, which I can only assume is to make up for the loss of revenue. And today is D day for our electricity price increase, we are all waiting to hear if the power company is going to get their 32% price increase. I'm so tilted today it's not even funny.
