Actually I would say no one should have cold called after MP 3bet. Well of course if they had read on MP being maniac then maybe.
vs maniac i would shove qqjtss for 50bbs. although you open utg and vs maniac probably pretty tight. could be close. ak45 fold pre. think akj2 could had shove too with 2 weak overallers. problem is your utg open but then would still prefer fold or 4bet.
when did ak45 put 160bbs in? looks strange too. at least against 4 bet pre easy fold as on the flop as well.
Yeah 4bet would have likely made more sense than call indeed. Cant remember if I had any reads on MP. I think he had recently joined table so might be that I just had not noticed if he had played crazy with focus on other tables.
PS: BU and lot of table just didnt have fold button in their clients apparently...
Heh I wonder if this play was super nitty for holdem HU:

Looks genius in showdown though. Reasoning was that both straight and flush complete. There are weaker to call on turn definitely but at same time not that great to get x-r.
This was nice one from yesterday. Had been running over this guy and he left after this one. Could have been bit tilted though maybe his nick was just truth. I wouldnt complete SB in his shoes though. Not sure about flop in his shoes. I suppose its more of x-r as playability suck big time. In turn I would prefer bit bigger sizing in his shoes. My range has very little 75 so I didnt really think of raising turn. Likely would have still raised with AQT9hh which I would have cbet mainly though especially with limper guy in position.
But yeah main blunder for SB comes on river. Betting big and calling raise is pretty much the worst option. I think this would be spot to block bet like 5€ and fold to raise as his hand really suck for bluff catching.
Positive surprise to see set calling though ![]()

Was puking in this one. Not sure if hero fold could have been doable. MP had been playing tight but on quite small sample. SB was best customer of table doing lot of random button clicking. Issue is that my hand block wraps and A9 is very unlikely. Just scream AA but... tough to fold mid set imo.

read less tough to get away from it in your games without hud i guess. against known tight regs quite easy fold, imo. i wont mind, unless something unusual happened in the previous hands.
also small justification for you might be that the guy not playing 100bb strat, so not seems to be supersolid and tight like perceived east european regs or stuff like that ![]()
btw what do you think about just flatting?
we block wrap. so need less protection, narrowing the range with our blockers shouldn't be in our favor i would say, and we have position on him as well as the spot on the table which we could easily stack at the turn if he stays in the pot. think would like that more than going over the top.
One point though is that whatever we call or shove flop it does look very strong either way. Potentially if villain hits like top two he might give action on turn while folding flop.
Quite a nasty sessions recently. Always starts with like 3+ bins down and then ending in smallish profit. Today was really nasty with some good customers running really hot. First two hours down over 10 bins but continued to grind as tables were good. Somehow got to small profit again.
This was funny one, K high like a Boss! ![]()

Went to play local 50+10€ live mtt. Holdem freezeout which went pretty much card dead. Also nasty thing was that on my right was guy playing absurd amount of hands and not folding almost anything. So making light 3bets was kind of not option either. Well sort of luckily dropped quite quickly on semibluff. Open raised AQo from MP, BU and BB called. Flop was T52ss, I cbet smallish. BU call and turn was 3s. So I had Qs in my hand and SPR 1 so decided to shove having two overs, gs and Q high fd. BU snap calls with A4o turning his gutshot. Bit meh but had some outs anyway. Would have just x-f flop without one spade. Place used for game was really nice one though and there might be monthly mtt there from this point onward.
Well as positive side as I got back early I did play session moment ago after sauna. Got nice close to 200€ profit.
Some interesting hands from recent sessions:
Not sure about preflop play. CO was active player so perhaps I should go for squeeze and I think this deep stacked we can actually also call versus 4bet. But sort of issue is imo BU shortstack who might also decide to shove if I 3bet and CO call. That is bit tricky scenario because CO is not necessarily 4betting AA and well its not nice to 5bet my hand anyway taking chance that CO does continue. So I just call but issue with this is that pot will very often be 4 or 5way. So perhaps this should be just folded. I would fold like 2277 etc. but this one does have some connectivity. Good excuse for call I suppose.
Anyway we do hit strong on KK3r flop but even then we are in bit tricky spot again. If betting flop even very small we pretty much isolate ourselves usually versus Kx+. Another issue is there are two players I am deep stacked against. So I just check flop and it goes checked. Turn is kind of ok card opening fd. I went for small bet as ideally we would want to keep fd in pot as those draw dead. I get two calls behind and now BU short stack pots. If it had been e.g. CO raising I would just fold but this one felt close as BU doesnt have stack leverage for river. He could definitely have some Kx trips. Maybe even nut fd though I think that is rare.

This was potentially sort of marginal value line. I just call preflop with not so great Axxxds hand. Flop nice with trips and two bdfd as well. Went for x-r versus big bet on flop for half pot size which is my default sizing on paired flop with deep SPR. When villain call he can have bunch of overpairs, some wraps, 2x and sometimes 33 or 23. But 33 and 23 are obviously not played that much even from BU.
Turn is nice as villain could now have straight and there is only one AA available. So I went for half pot which will create nice river SPR for shove. Wasnt really thrilled to shove river as villain will have some 33, AA and 55 but I think its still standard.

This is really standard hand but I think its good example of just x-c flop to strengthen call range with aim to get turn x-r in. We are not thrilled necessarily to x-r turn but we unblock ton of draws so its fairly likely villain has one. But sometimes we will run into set or two pair with support and be crushed.
In this case villain had AA with strong support and we were only slight favorite. Point being if we were bit deeper like 150bb at start I would just x-c turn again with plan to x-c decent amount of non spade rivers.

Not sure if villain line was reasonable in this one. Anyway we play HU and our hand is definitely open and I think also call versus 3bet. Though usually people dont 3bet nowhere as wide as they should in HU versus active opener so I could be wrong.
Well flop is definitely better for my range so I got some ideas of aggression with boat blocker and gs. Not sure again about flop stab but on this turn my hand become prime bluff candidate for blank rivers.
Villain hand as positive side doesnt have any clubs. On other hand he doesnt have any blocker to straight or boats and has T which is imo kind of bad. He really wants me to have JT8 type stuff. But yeah maybe no clubs is still enough in solver world. I would probably just fold turn in his shoes if going for x-c line on flop which is probably fine as he doesnt have much interaction with flop.

Had to use google translate but thanks (assuming it translated somewhat ok)
Another good session today. Got into really juicy freeroll spot:
I would 3bet this fairly often pre but both limper and SB were really good customer that I really wanted to get involved with. Flop I decided to just call as I basically dont have any bluff range in such 5way pot. Especially versus bet size CO is using which is imo kind of bad. Well there are two guys overplaying stuff but I think smaller bet would still make more sense.
If it came checked to me I would not mind to bet like 1/3 pot as I also block stuff with my QQ.

Then second hand I posted on hand analyze area as villain river shove seemed bit thin but I might just be nitty: https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=535980
Point being I will have some better Tx but not really weaker. No pockets in my range that Tx would beat as I would just 3bet small or shove pre with those (which is standard afaik). But yeah 2x is rare though I would take x-c line with those as well. Not really having any x-r semibluff range. So trying to get called by 4x or A high seems thin to me.
