That's why iso-raises were invented.

With the rise of GTO theory, if they're not limping they're min-raising. I'm not sure which is more annoying.

Yep - we just have to develop a tactic to combat it is all - might have been just the one game I played where I noted it, but will keep an eye out for it going forward for sure.

Would be careful with those and choose the iso-range carefully. There are many limp-callers out there in those limits. :f_ugly: They limp like A2s, you jam and they call anyway. :f_ugly:

Yep, pretty much my approach here is to fold and wait for better spots and to not get involved in pissing contests over 2BBs

Wednesday Wrap

So yesterday I played 10 $0.50 Sit & Go games.

Before mass multi-tabling, I decided to stick with 2 games at a time. This allows me to make notes, learn player tendencies at this level, and format some strategies based on those.

ICMIZER is great and all, but probably for this level a basic understanding is all that is required (that said, I will see out the trial and use it to full effect)

In 10 games, there were 4 cashes - 3 Gold medals with one Silver. VERY happy about that!

What I am happier about is the fact there were little to no mistakes in there in both calling and pushing ranges AND in most cases, I played the villain and not the hands (especially when ITM) and took advantage where possible.

Could just be the "honeymoon" period but nevertheless I am pleased.

Alternatively, avoid weather-related issues and buy a stationary bike :)

I did a lot of zwifting 2 years ago. But I sold my Tacx last summer because it was collecting dust and not sweat :-D

Poker Update:

Since Wednesday I have played a number of small sessions - totalling to 20 $0.50 SNGs.

Overall, we have turned a profit of $7.89 or 15.78 in buy-ins!

8 1st places
1 2nd place
1 3rd place

For a 50% ITM

ROI is 78.9%

Very happy with this progress - checking for mistakes in each game but focussing mostly on solid ABC poker for the most part and playing the players in situations where I can take advantage.

Will graduate from 2 tables to 4 at times I'm feeling fresh and then 6 and possibly 8.

I haven't run particularly well or badly in this small sample so too early to declare it a heater even though this ROI is unsustainable.

Likely done for live sessions this week - will focus on ICMIZER study before deciding on buying a 3 month sub.

Thank you PokerStrategy for the free monies!

I had $27 in TAF so I can get a payout of $102

Decision time....

Add $100 to my roll and move up to $1s on Stars
Buy HM3 for $60 and add $40 to my roll on Stars - grind some more $0.50s and move up after I reach $120-$124
Add $50 to partypoker and see how their $1 Sit & Gos are like

Will think about it, but would love some opinions!

As Friday is the end of March I will keep my goals for this week rather simple

Poker
Play 20 games
Review all games and post any interesting spots

Diet/Exercise
Cycle 40km each day (Monday-Sunday)
1,500 calorie intake average (Monday-Sunday)
1,300+ calorie deficit daily average (Monday-Sunday)
Adding for every 5km cycled, 1km must be on the 2nd level of resistance on the bike
I am currently only doing the lowest level of resistance

That would have been my recommendation as well, runner-up being C. You already mentioned that it's not primarily about the money for you, so no need to pump more funds into it. Better to either get something with long-term benefits, or something that opens up new opportunities.

Holdem Manager has a one-time fee now? Wow! it does!
I've been using PT4 for ages and I tried Hand2Note for short-deck since PT4 doesn't.

I sent you a message on Skype. If you don't use it any longer let me know...
