Better yet, train it twice.

Another busy day comes to an end....

with work, poker and tennis practice. Traffic on Partypoker was not so great today, but could play my SnGs and even win some. There were also a couple of third places too, but altogether definitely more ITMs than about a week ago during my bad streak, where nothing held up. :f_ugly: So far this months, we had two quite okay streaks and one pretty bad streak. But it´s not time to reveal the results yet. _biggrin:

How my first SnG month went, we will see on Friday .... _biggrin:

I'm considering switching to party because the rake difference and it has leaderboards.

Although the traffic problem is a potential pitfall!

Not sure my volume would be good enough for a daily leaderboard as well!

Paying 12% at Stars with no rakeback leads me to believe that I'm caught in a rake trap!

The SnGs on Partypoker are quite fishy. They are fishier than the ones on Stars. But traffic is not always good, though.

The day of the dead kings

Don´t even have a hand to discuss today, everything went very quickly today. Didn´t play so much post-flops today, except for a nice bluff with 27o _ugly: and some nice bluffs but otherwise a lot of junk then then it went already all-in. I call today "the day of the dead kings" because the "cowboys" didn´t hold up a single time, couldn´t withstand any 3-outer like A8 or A3s or such. :f_ugly: The queens did a bit better, they held up! And today I experienced again, why AK is called "Anna Kournikova", who looks good but looses to often. :f_ugly: Anyways, it was a a pretty unlucky session, but not entirely. Some hands held up and I could take a couple of ITM-places, but mostly 2nd or 3rd. Meh. But at least something. I don´t exactly know how my session went, but what I can definitely say is that I´m running under EV. That´s for sure. Probably my 2nd and 3rd places could make up for the unluckily lost jams. :f_ugly:

I ran Kings into AK and AA today in the same hand. Might be something in the water lol

I have been railing again, as usual, and I would say that this was probably the most unlucky session I've seen from you since you started this. There have been some nasty suckouts before, of course, everyone gets them, but this time, I don't remember an instance where it went the other way. Most of those other sessions had at least a few moments where you got your lucky break as well against better hands.

The 3-outers were quite bad, but KK losing time after time really got ridiculous at one point.

At least you had a few cashes, and finished it off with a 1st place.

I am also excited to hear about your upcoming stats. :f_grin:

Yes, I do! That´s why I´m not really worried about the long-term results. You have to play many many many SnGs until your results resemble the statistics. It´s the law of large numbers. But sometimes it goes totally gaga anyway :f_ugly: :f_ugly: :f_ugly: :f_ugly:

A month below EV

So, there we go: It´s March 31st and time to look at the results of my fist month being back as SnG-grindette. Unfortunately, we´re starting with bad luck and below EV, but what can you do when your hands don´t hold up? We have a month WAY below EV on Party behind us:

On Stars things go a bit better, we´re dancing around break-evenish

I just put the SnG from March 2023 here, the -60 $ (or Euros) still come from the downswing in 2019 :f_ugly:, didn´t know how to filter for only 2023 on Sharkscope.

Current BR is: 367,04 €
BR last month: 382,04 €

So this months we´re 14,64 € down. We had lost about 4 € in CG, so it´s altogether about 10 Buy-ins down. Not really encouraging but as I said: We´re running WAY below EV at the moment, so, patience and consistency are the keys! Maybe better luck next month?

I think it's an advanced subscriber only feature.

Keep at it. As you pointed out, you were most likely running quite a bit below EV so far, and you still bring in results that are somewhat break-evenish. If you're running any better next month, who knows what you can get going...

I would recommend getting rid of the DoNs, though. In general, I think you may be playing too many tables at once at some points. This can cause a lot of stress during bad stretches. How about some 5-10 minutes "focus breaks" during batches of SNGs?

Well, during bad streaks it helps me to curse ONCE and then it´s alright again. :f_ugly: :f_biggrin: I know that it´s the long-run that counts, even though the short-run outcomes can be super crazy. :f_ugly: :f_ugly: :f_ugly: :f_ugly: I think during the past couple of sessions I have lost with KK versus random hand at least 8-10 times. _ugly:_ugly:_ugly::f_ugly: :f_ugly: :f_ugly:

Anyway, let´s see what happens on the long-run. _thumbsup:

How many games have you played on each?
Party was full of shit bots in the past which is why I'm hesitant to go there.
$1s on Stars are laughable mate and there's plenty of games running.

Replying for the grindette because she is at tennis practice right now and I currently have better access to stats anyway.

Primrose has played about 250 SNGs on Pokerstars this year so far, a little over half of them were $1, the others $0.50.

I'm not sure about the volume on PartyPoker, but it is considerably less, and there are some DoNs thrown in.
