Yeah thanks, I am almost back. My sleeping patern is returning to normal hours for me (7h a sleep in stead of 9 to 10 last weeks). Also feel like I am getting stronger again to start workouts!

So I had one of my best days yesterday:

Also managed to ship an entry for the SM tomorrow (sat of $11) - One time
Session in March:

Yes thanks for asking
PokerStars, 6+ Hold'em No Limit - Button Blind $0.25 ($0.25 ante) - 5 players
Replay this hand on Pokeit
UTG: $26.90 (108 bb)
MP: $45.30 (181 bb)
MP+1: $34.99 (140 bb)
CO (Hero): $35.38 (142 bb)
BU: $10.68 (43 bb)
Pre-Flop: ($1.50) Hero is CO with K♠ T♦
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP+1 calls $0.25, Hero raises to $2.50, 1 fold, UTG calls $2.25, MP+1 calls $2.25
This is a good spot to iso. Player slimped in have high VPIP and low chance of limp raising. Also the BTN is decent aggressive so if I limp I have to limp fold to often.
Flop: ($9) 6♥ A♦ 9♦ (3 players)
UTG checks, MP+1 checks, Hero bets $2.82, UTG calls $2.82, MP+1 folds
Again good spot to take a stab.
Turn: ($14.64) T♣ (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks
Basically here we give up.
River: ($14.64) T♥ (2 players)
UTG bets $6.96, Hero raises to $29.81 (all-in), UTG calls $14.37 (all-in)
River is played poorly. Absolutely no value in raising.
Total pot: $57.30 (Rake: $2)
Showdown:
CO (Hero) shows K♠ T♦ (three of a kind, Tens)
UTG shows 9♠ 9♥ (a full house, Nines full of Tens)
UTG wins $55.30
PokerStars, 6+ Hold'em No Limit - Button Blind $0.10 ($0.10 ante) - 4 players
Replay this hand on Pokeit
UTG: $30.74 (307 bb)
MP: $10.00 (100 bb)
CO (Hero): $27.48 (275 bb)
BU: $4.36 (44 bb)
Pre-Flop: ($0.50) Hero is CO with A♠ A♣
UTG raises to $0.20, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.20, BTN calls $0.10
BTN is a maniak with 40a so expect him to shove a lot. Plan is to limp rejam or call a jam.
Flop: ($1) 9♠ A♥ 7♦ (3 players)
UTG bets $0.96, Hero calls $0.96, BTN raises to $4.06 (all-in), UTG raises to $30.44 (all-in), Hero calls $26.22 (all-in)
We flop top set and are planning to bet when it's checked to me. As MP bets pot I decide to call and hope BTN again will do something crazy because of his low SPR. As it goes we are happy. Here I think BTN can have all the straights but pbb we have a set over set against the other big stack.
When they flip the cards it's time to do a little dance.
Turn: ($59.42) T♥ (3 players, 3 all-in)
River: ($59.42) J♣ (3 players, 3 all-in)
Total pot: $59.42 (Rake: -$4.28)
Showdown:
UTG shows A♦ T♠ (two pair, Aces and Tens (cashed out).)
BU shows 9♦ 9♣
CO (Hero) shows A♠ A♣ (three of a kind, Aces)
UTG wins $5.28
CO (Hero) wins $58.42

Yes just excel. I'm an old guy
Not to sound rude but if EV is 1.6 on your best days why not chill at one stake lower? Or at least staying at current level and not play 0.25$ games. Same discussion again

Don't forget that this is short-deck poker. With no cards in the deck lower than 6, equities run very close together

lasted about 2h. Lost 2 big pots, set vs FD and KJo vs JTo on JT6r. Pbb a bit to aggressive as I watched some Lex video's

Well we can def discuss this subject for hours. And truelly it depends. On lower stakes we have a lot more fun players that are getting it to wide. But because equities run very close it's not always printing money. I get a lot of feedback from better players who player higher stakes (1$a to 10$a) and the feedback is atm that my game is good enough to play at 10NL (even take shots at 25NL) but be aware that it can last 1 session and you have to move back. Also in general (depending also on your personallity) it's best atm to reach 50NL as fast as possible and from that stake beat the game for 20a/100h before moving up (this is purely based on the rake atm).
The moving between stakes was (is) very hard for me because no matter how you look at it the $ are the only way to 'know' if you are good. But I also have a risk of getting burned out by playing the same small stakes basically waiting for a heater to then go up in stakes. I have adjusted to this as my journey continues.
I also want to add this is a totally seperate account moneywise and has no influence on my 'real' life.
Another player from my study group wants to keep a 200BI BRM and that's also fine because he is more affraid to go broke.
Another one has an even more aggressive BRM.
An important lesson I have learned is that short deck does not have this skill gappes (yet) as it NL has.
And for the last 55 weeks (the duration of this challenge) I did not have to deposit
so I think I'm not a degen (is this still a word they use?).

Better then mine
I lost most of my stack in the second hand.
Short Deck is an interesting game - not that I've ever played an awful lot of it in the past, or likely to in the future.
Looking forward to learning from you in this blog.

$ arent the only way, and not even the best way to know. EV$ tells you how good you are or at least gets as close as u can get
my critique is not about brm. i think 200BI is insane if winning the game and dont play mid-high stakes already. Everyone is comfy with different things so idc about BRM too much in the end but br dont matter when you dont beat the game well before. u dont only move up bcs u have the money only but need money+winrate. if u dont have both u dont move in my opinion. But we discussed before you do you and good luck
Is your friend part of shortdeck discord? If he is winning and only br is a issue i had someone offer me money as backup so i can move up without worries. 200BI on micros would drive me crazy haha ha

I know but you can't say you're the best player in the world EV wise when you're stuck at NL5...
Yes, money and winrate but again net winrate or EV winrate + depending on the game. It does come down to how you play, why you do what and wich sizing. Which questions you ask are also an indication of the level you are thinking/playing.
Both my (online)friends from studygroup are net winning (EV is deviating because we do not have big samples). We do not have BR problems or anything but we are thinking/talking about coaching/staking/etc.

sorry i do not care if someone is net winning if EV is down. you cant say you are best player when you play 0.50$ but your ev is negative. when you ask the right questions and make good decisions EV will come in my opinion. for example think about staking. in my experience noone will offer money to move if you have no good EV results. dont think care about net winner but net EV winner + the things you say. But i dont know truly i dont play so high to offer money to others
gl hope it works all out

Just enjoying the run good
