but I'm not so sure. Part of the problem is that my charts were written in the days of 3x open raises
I'm now opening 2.4x
I'm now calling 3Bets much wider, if I will be in position vs the 3Bettor (my fold to 3Bet is less than 50%)
I'm using larger sizes post-flop
This is my 4th hand at this table, so we are both unknown to each other.
PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.10/$0.25 - 6 players
UTG: $17.17 (69 bb)
MP: $25.00 (100 bb)
CO (Hero): $25.00 (100 bb)
BU: $28.38 (114 bb)
SB: $48.78 (195 bb)
BB: $45.70 (183 bb)
Pre-Flop: ($0.35) Hero is CO with 8♠:9♠:
2 players fold, Hero raises to $0.60, 2 players fold, BB 3-bets to $2.60, Hero calls $2 <<< this 3Bet is more than 4 x my bet. This should have set off alarm bells, but I considered that it likely showed a high pair, so I was willing to see a flop.
Flop: ($5.30) 8♣:7♥:9♣: (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2.63, BB raises to $6.40, Hero ???
Maybe there are people that 3Bet JT, but I'm not believing it. The check/raise OTF cements my opinion that his has a high pair — I'm blocking 99 and 88 but 77 is still live.
Board: 8♣7♥9♣
Equity Win Tie
CO 59.56% 57.99% 1.57% { 9s8s }
BB 40.44% 38.87% 1.57% { TT+, 77, AcKc, AcQc, KcQc, AcJc, KcJc, QcJc, AcTc }
Even if I give him some broadways suited in :club:s and put 77 in his range I'm still a 60% favourite.
What do you do on this flop?
